  8. I just spotted this Bill-o-gram of the promo trooper:
  9. Elrik, If you click on the photo references link at the top of the page you'll find some galleries with photos of armor from the actual movies. Check out the lucasfilm archive galleries. The cover strips are the same on both of the shins and both of the thighs regardless of sniper plate or battery pack. The thigh coverstrip extends right to the bottom ridge and the shin cover strip goes right to the top of the shin. Also get in touch with svache (Jeroen the pac501 XO) here on FISD or on the pac501 boards and make him show you his AP. Or maybe get a peek at Matchstick's (Nick the pac501 CO) sandtrooper. Aaaaaloha, -Eric
  10. I really need to enable the liking of posts. -Eric
  11. Where does it say Hero Paul? How am I, webhost and forum administrator, supposed to know?! I mean... except for the title of the thread. And of course the number of teeth cut out.
  12. Just as pointless as it is to require armor parts that are hidden most of the time on a shiny white trooper (I find myself so freaking funny sometimes) My real counter argument is that your logic can then be used to not use any part of the armor for a new DT. There has to be a base costume that the user can then have as many accidents as they choose given their own interpretation of the zombie. That is the idea behind keeping DT as ANH specific as possible. A lot of work has been done to keep the DT and HWT up to the same set of basic standards from ANH. For the sake of continuity that should continue lest either of them seriously lag behind. I'd be happy to continue this discussion in the staff area so I may freely use the aforementioned: jerkass, dummy, and "no YOU shut up" -Eric
  13. Photo references can be found here. -Eric
  14. Except that the DT CRL has been kept up with ANH standards all along. Same with hwt. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Prob should be put in hwt too. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I bets its going to look super weird in his RT. I also think we can (at least I intend to) make a case for Tim not to do the notch given the timing of his build and the newness of the requirement. We've waived such things in the past for armor that was built right before a CRL change. -Eric
  17. It is safe to assume that regardless of what the CRL says, the deployment officer will not be enforcing the notch for EIB. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Words like: jerkass, dummy, and "no YOU shut up" Works every time. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Locitus hired some thugs locally to rough me up with a notched kidney plate. The long international arm of the DL should not be underestimated. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I just threw up a little in my mouth. -Eric
  21. Hi. Welcome to FISD. What's your waist, chest and inseam size? -Eric
  22. While I admit it is a minor change, I do not agree with it. It goes against the spirit of the EIB program that is meant to spell out easy ways to look great. If this TM and RS biased requirement had to be added, it should have been in level 3. However I think there are more important things to fight about amongst ourselves than a notch in kidney plate. (and if we are going to fight about it it should be in the detachment only section of the forum) On the subject of changing CRLs in general. We did a lot of work last year beefing up all three levels. Some EIB requirements were moved to the base, some centurion requirements moved to EIB and a few centurion were added. Changing them more, in even minor or drastic ways, would only serve to dilute the impact of the existing standards and probably continue to confuse the (non FISD) Legion in general. I suggest waiting until mid to late 2015 before batting CRL change ideas around and publicly voting on them. Also please bear in mind that neither EIB or Centurion were ever meant for prop replication. -Eric
  23. Congrats! (I'm super relieved I didn't have hand Gaza his pink slip) -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
