  1. I just made a super long post somewhere with a few images but I have no issues editing it. Derrek et al... please PM me with the post you're trying to edit that fails. If I'm online I will want to go look at the log as you try to edit it... or if I'm not online I'll log in as you and try to edit it myself (which totally didn't work with Clamps and Sskunky) -Eric
  2. I ran some seemingly unneeded repairs on some tables... and ran the silly "optimize" thingy on them all. I can't imagine that helped at all. I think I really need to catch it happening live and watch the log. -Eric
  3. Possibly. Or php taking up a ton of resources which is usually the case. Our MySQL database is rarely bogged but the lack of php caching is screwing us left and right. Also I would think there would be some sort of timeout related error message rather than a 404 that folks are getting. Maybe I'll try and use some of the ipb data base checking tools tonight. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This is an actual issue with editing long posts. Annoyingly when I log in as the user having the issue I can't reproduce it.... Even when using the same OS and same browser editing the same post. I'll take a look around the ipb support forums when I get back home tonight. At some point I may need to coordinate with someone who is having problems real time while I look at the logs as they happen. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I am away until Wednesday. I promise to give this my fullest attention when I get back. Sorry guys.
  6. Lame. Ok. Thanks man.
  7. Can you guys edit it... flip the switch in the top left corner of the editor an then try to save it?
  8. Hm. F me. It's worked for me chrome on mac too. I was hoping to just tell you dorks to use chrome. Stand by while I look into it. -Eric
  9. Damnit. That's 3 people now. What browser and OS are you using D? -Eric
  10. The main EP VII thread is here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27323-stormtrooper-in-episode-vii/ -Eric
  11. The bigger question is... is this real? -Eric
  12. Shoot me (PM, email or here) the URL to the exact post you're trying to edit and I'll log in as you and see what's up. -Eric
  13. Best to use photobucket some similar photo hosting service and link them here. Saves our bandwidth and they'll look better in your post. Moar photos! -Eric
  14. Here are some boot painting threads: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27114-dyeing-black-boots-white/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24897-painting-my-loake-boots-white/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24775-painting-my-black-chelsea-boots-white/ SorenM's thread is my favorite. There are probably more threads. These are the ones I found quickly. Angelus leather dye is your friend -Eric
  15. Before we start another thread on the Rebels TK.... here is a list of all the related threads I could find: HDprops / TZA - SW Rebels Stormtrooper Armor Build. Star Wars Rebels? Star Wars Rebels=Ralph McQuarrie Animated Stormtrooper (SW REBELS) (Yay KW!) Stormtrooper from new Star Wars Rebels TV show Star Wars Rebels Cartoon Images Released at NYCC Did "Star Wars Rebels" just bring back the FX hel... -Eric
  16. Weird man. Just so I understand... You compose a message and hit "send" (or whatever it is) and the error shows up? Does it do it when you compose a new PM? Sorry about this. -Eric
  17. This sounds like a new problem. You're breaking new ground When do you get that error? What do you click on specifically to make it do that? -Eric
  18. Like all the new toys! -Eric
  19. Grimz, I'm not exactly sure what you're asking I use a really heavy 3 lb hammer when setting snaps with a punch and anvil type thingy. That allows me to hit it with force in a controlled manner to stop me from winding up like a lumberjack felling a redwood with a hatchet. -Eric
  20. This makes me want to enable the "like" function of our forums. -Eric
  21. Hey Mark: Why is the search so bad? It isn't your fault. I think I know why... and I just made a change to fix it to make it suck a little less. Or at least suck less often. Also here is a link to tips for searching the forum.... if/when it is working. -Eric
  22. It's doable but given how busy and lazy we are (a terrible combo) it seems like a 2015 concern. -Eric
  23. That's a slow page for sure. It has it's moments of being better. Also... If we paid more... Our forum would be faster. As it is we pay too much. I've thought about moving hosts but it is way too much hassle/work for now. -Eric
  24. <EDIT> Someone was trying to exploit a vulnerability in another website hosted on our server. I think it was hosing all sorts of things. I just received an email from the web host about it. At the bottom of every page on FISD are some often ignored stats. The "Exec. Time" should be around .2ish. Anything more than that the site is running like utter shucks. A high Exec Time also means that you're network connection is fine but FISD's server is sucking. -Eric
