I'm really proud of the AM guys for putting out AM 2.0 after being called out for recasting. Rumor has it that the chest will be an improvement. I look forward to seeing it. Please do not turn this thread into a war against makerofthings. Please? Spencer: makerofthings has been know to take other people's hard work and try to turn a profit from it. He was famous for recasting TE2's armor which led directly to TE2 stopping production of his armor. Maybe he's moved on to RS? I'm not sure. It takes less than 24 hours to raise more money than we need for hosting fees. There is no need to do it more than once a year. I know for the sure I've done it for the past two Julys. -Eric

For some reason the database that backs our website (and sld, Mepd, ioc, bhg, and the pac501) has been having a total freak out for a few days. Our hosting provider hasn't been awesome at helping me and Mathias figure out why all of a sudden this is happening. The real problem is that we don't have full admin rights on the machine itself. It means we are at the mercy of their slow and ineffective trouble shooting. It brings to light the fact that we pay too much for too few resources and too little control. It is our intention to move hosting companies again some where cheaper, more memory/disk/processing power and allows us to control our destiny. Dritz snaps? They kinda suck. I had the same problem all over my armor and switched to tandy snaps and no more snaps came popping off. -Eric

Hey Mark... Your build looks great. I'm sure Gaz will be by soon to give a more thorough commentary... but something that stands out to me is our lack of should bell elastic around the bicep. This is a basic requirement and should have been caught by your GML when you were 501st approved. Metal clips for the detonator is also a basic level requirement these days. For centurion you'll need a rivet in your crotch (ouch!) rather than a snap. Also the snap on the right side should not be painted. Good luck trooper! -Eric

I'd like to say that I absolutely agree with the change to the CRL... but I knew it was going to happen but I failed to let the detachment know. If you have anyone to blame its me. I've just sent a PM to everyone who said they already purchased a TD pack before the change. The LMO is willing to work with you and your GML to get it approved. Good luck all. -Eric

Actually you're right. It was a total FISD staff fail to not announce the CRL change. I am just as much to blame as anyone else on staff. While I support the decision to eliminate the TD pack for HWT we should have told you. When did you guys purchase your TD packs to become a HWT? -Eric
