Are you talking about the Biceps or the forearms. If its the biceps that should be an easy shim. If its the forearms, I'd prolly stick with the FX pieces.

That guy Phil that just showed up on the detachment has the Rubies armor. I would really like to see him make elite with it and I honestly think its possible. Not that its gonna be a simple task.

I use the boiling water method. Just remember to wipe off the water from the lens right when you take it out of the pot, otherwise you'll have cooling spots on the lens where the water droplets were.

I just run the 3AA setup, Im not running any fans. My best recommendation would be to run 3 AA batteries and two 9 volts. Trying to build a voltage divider with resistors will work but you'll be going thru batteries like no tomorrow.

Ive used this type padding since day one in my TE2 and both CAP helmets and they are the same size and shape as the AP so should work fine.

For my TK I used gloss black and for my TX I used flat blak.

Great looking suit! Great looking blaster too. Is that a real scope along with the real counter? The only thing that I see at all that you may want to take a closer look at, is very small side gaps that almost arent there. Worst case scenario tho its an easy fix. Other than that, its top notch and the way a Tk should look!!! Great job!

Ive actually heard this theory before. On another note, if you check out the Star Wars RPG, you'll find that one of the handicaps of a Stormtrooper is that he gets massive penalties against "hero" characters. Basically as long as they are blasting Jawas and moisture farmers they are ay-oh-kay, but against the player characters and whatnot, they cant hit the broadside of a barn from the inside.

Its ok to act "normal" in order to slip under the radar and fit in. But its very important that you dont make yourself unhappy in the process. I didnt get intot he whole TK thing till I turned 30 and since then Ive been a whole lot happier. Since Ive gotten into this hobby Ive made all new friends that I dont have to "fit in" with. I get a little ribbing from co-workers about my hobby but it doesnt bother me because while I'm off having the time of my life at DragonCon they are just living their normal boring mundane lives. In short: You have one life to live, treat yourself well and dont spend your life trying to make other people happy.

When Im in armor I keep a lighter in my pack of smokes and i just drop the box behind my ab plate. Worked really well. My ID and bank card goes in the holster, in that little pocket Bernard has made into his holsters. You go Bernard!, that worked great at DragonCon by the way.

Batting Helmet padding for the win!

droopy doos is crap. Ive ordered from them before. Shipping takes forever and parts need heavy touch up. Youre looking at darn near $40 including shipping. I'd recommend getting the parts from Stomper. Stomper has all the parts in a much better quality. Except maybe the folding stock. So an original 77 Kenner blaster that had the stock on it would make for a killer blaster.

Alain if push comes to shove, I have a helmet left, but it is missing the pad that goes in the forehead part of the helmet. I had to use that pad at Dragon Con to stop the top return edge of my kidney plate from sawing into my spine.

Get some pics of the armor. I wouldnt worry about the helmet so much since we're gonna be busting your brass to get a better helmet anyway. Get some pics of you in the armor so we can see what were dealing with. Are you and the guy's son similar body builds? We gotta make sure youre presentable before the emperor shows up. I wouldnt even worry about the helmet till the body armor fits like a glove. Dont worry we got yer back!

The E-11 is nice because its small and you can tuck it in good. You gotta really be carefull with a DLT-19. You can clobber somebody with one of those.
