  1. You should try my grade 3 lens.
  2. Goto your paypal account double click on your account total and then click on my email address  Nah, on your paypal account screen there is a tab for Sending money, open that up and use the persons email address to complete the form, fill in the amount to pay...its pretty self explanatory once you get to that tab. Then whoever you send it to will get an email saying....hey dude, you got some money. And then the guy will say sweet I'm getting a 12 pack! Best thing to do is once you are verified, after like 45 days or something you can get a paypal debit card and PIN. Then you can use that card to make purchases with locally. Otherwise you have to transfer the money to your bank account to spend it. That is not an instant transfer and generally not quick enuff.
  3. Magic Eraser and Novus
  4. I use fileden.
  5. Maybe he was talking about a baker's foot? Its all in how you build it. Sounds like he has the same build as VacTrooper. So far I have yet to see someone too skinny for armor.
  6. Great job dude!!! This reminds me I have to goto Wally World tonight to pick up batting helmets and a couple voice changers. My battery compartment is mounted behind the vocoder in the chin. Does the mic pick up any noise from the fans? Actually the Deal of the Day thread wasn't mine. Just another classic case of thread jacking on my part.
  7. Another thing I do is when I am building the helmet I only apply adhesive above the eyes. As the adhesive dries it shrinks and cocks the lens up at the bottom of the eye that leaves about a quarter inch gab between the bottom of the lens and the eye sockets. You cant see the gap from the outside and having two "large" upward vents right above where you exhale goes a long way in preventing fogging.
  8. Took the words right out of my mouth.
  9. I saw a set of this clone armor at DragonCon and was likewise blown away with how good it looks compared to the other clone armor Ive seen. Definitely top shelf clone armor!
  10. Yes bring on the pics or it'll be blue monday for you
  11. hmmmm, I havent tried it in an MRCE. You may want to try it without the small top pad and tinker with the placement of the two side pads.
  12. My god that looks hot. Ive yet to see a better alternative than the batting helmet padding ripped out of a $6 T ball helmet. Looking forward to your review!
  13. Just remember the squeaky wheel only gets so much oil before the wheel is replaced....
  14. I was trooping the clone wars movie and some lady spoke to me and I replied using the VOX sytem and her response was "OMG it talks too!"
  15. I seem to recall the SR800RMS being too large to fit into the screen accurate hovi's but will fit just fine in the FX water faucett mic tips.
  16. Sweet! Thanks Supertrooper! Just ordered 10 ft!
  17. Since your new setup is so much louder now try mounting the speaker unit in your back plate and see what happens.
  18. I dont like the CABoots. They are too wrinkly IMO. I want to upgrade and have been thinking about the ones that supposedly help dig wells for Vietnamese children. Hear they are nice and about the same price as CABoots. Just food for thought for when you get to the selection stage.
  19. Looks like the helmet was assembled by someone with excellent modeling skills. I could almost swear that I have seen that helmet at MEPD before. Its made out of 60 gauge ABS which would lead me to believe its a TE recast pulled by VT.
  20. They can't have just dissappearded. No pic that small has a cloaking device.
  21. Looks like a recast of an AP. Its not an AP, thats for sure.
  22. I think it translates pretty good. I'll always be a grunt. Cannonfodder White. This guy was at D*C with a similar EU costume. Very nicely done when you see it in person. Check out the stellar job he did on the FX build! ---------
  23. In all honesty, the suit itself doesnt look that bad. I think it would lend itself well towards a ROTJ costume if you replaced that abomination of a helmet. With a few modifications I would go as far to say you could even pull elite status with it. However I'll take the ABS and HIPS over a rubberized plastic any day of the week.
  24. Man, what a jerk. I can deal with the refusal of the school visit, but when someone makes a comment like "grown man, dressing up in a costume" it gets under my skin. My dad has given me a little riff raff for dressing as a TK, but after he saw my pics from DragonCon this year of the over abundance of hot chicks in corsettes he sorta offhandedly asked "How much were those tickets again?" I'm so glad to be 31 and still have my imagination and drive to have fun, damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!
