Thank you so much for you kind words!!!!! Next Saturday will be my first troop with my TK. I will make sure to take care of all the items listed prior to the troop. I would not have been able to complete this build without all of the members contributions that I used to learn from. The White Armor is a treasure trove of information at your fingertips and a friendly, helpful group of people. Hopefully at some point I will be able to give back and help others with their builds. Next stop CENTURION!!!!!!!!!!!!3 points

Hi Chris, and thank you for your application for ANH Stunt Expert Infantry! CRL and EIB Application Requirements All required photos are now in and, after review, we are pleased to welcome you to EI! On behalf of the entire DO staff, congratulations!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. To begin with, I gotta' say that you did one outstanding job on this set of TM armor, brother! (Looks like someone paid attention in class, lol)! Just a couple of small items in this area that may help. We noticed that your bucket is riding a bit high. Not a big deal, but if you have padding in the top I would suggest either removing or reducing it if possible. Not only will it allow the helmet to ride lower, but it will also greatly improve your field of vision. Not all noggins are made the same, or course! Reference images In the first photo above you are looking straight ahead, but in the first two below it appears that you are looking slightly down. I had this same issue and found myself constantly tilting my bucket forward just so I could see above the bottom of the eye openings. A pain in the butt-plate and can be a little dangerous when walking. After removing all the padding in the top it sat much nicer (and closer to my shoulders) and that issue was eliminated. I did keep padding on the sides so the helmet would turn when my head did, though. Reference images This is an issue so small that I almost didn't mention it, but as per the CRL the drop boxes are "...aligned under the plastic tabs of the ammo belt"'. The one on your right side sits a little above the tab. Stretching out the elastic a bit would cure this. Your alignment on the sides is perfect! Another easy fix we are suggesting is that you trim down the top edge(s) of your sniper knee plate. The top part is spot-on, but the bottom could use a bit of Dremel love. Reference images Centurion Requirements In this section we prepare you for Centurion. More photos may be requested in the future that allow us to make better decisions on possible adjustments. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items to pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all that we can from what is seen, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Only one small issue here, brother, and it's the easiest fix ever! Ideally there is no gap between the ab/kidney plates, so just tightening up your canvas belt a tiny bit will take care of this. Reference images And that's it! Again, you really did this set of armor proud, Chris, and I'd be proud to troop with you any time. (I'm moving back to Florida soon, so that could very well happen). Next up, Centurion!3 points

Greetings from North Carolina! I'm a lifelong Star Wars fan and I'm getting close to realizing my dream of joining the 501st. I've had the pleasure of seeing the 501st on multiple occasions and every time I see them, I recapture the joy of watching Star Wars as a child. I am thrilled at the prospect of bringing that joy to others while having an amazing time myself. To start, I will be getting standard TK trooper armor. This will likely be ANH Stunt armor, although I'm open to other builds if they can be found. I'm still very early in the process and I'm actively researching which kit I'll be purchasing. I'm leaning more towards a nearly complete set of armor. Spare time has been at a premium lately and the cost of paying professional do it will likely be worth it to me. I'm 5'10 and ~220lbs (recently down from 250lbs and hopefully continuing to lose weight). I'd love any feedback you have to offer about your experiences: - Dave's Darkside Depot AM armor seems like it might be a good fit. His work seems to be of high quality and I'm interested in the helmet that comes with fans and a voice changer pre-installed. Unfortunately, I have emailed and messaged on facebook without reply so he may not be active at this time. -Authentic Props AP offers most of the options I'm looking for and they are a vetted seller. It sounds like their armor can fit my body type. -RS Propmasters is another vetted seller I'm considering. They take pride in screen accurate armor. At this point, I'm probably leaning towards a more cleaned up version minus some of the flaws that were part of the original trilogy armor. Their website is currently down but will hopefully be back up soon and I'll gather more info then. I'm excited to troop with you guys!2 points

A bit more work done. Tubing installed in the blaster. T-Tracks from Wannawanga trimmed and installed. I just used the DLT Blaster images and tried to replicate the correct angle and small groove the wire sits in: Original and trimmed length. Wire I am using for the t-tracks. It is "Lock-wire" used on Jet airplane engines to prevent bolts from loosening. Being a former aircraft technician and learning skills like lockwiring has it's perks... It's even a suitable dark grey colour that won't need to be painted. T-tracks glued on with E-6000. Lockwire is then tightly wrapped and secured using what we call a pig-tail twist. This was trimmed then tucked away out of sight on the bottom of the barrel shroud. Front and rear barrel sections with everything installed. It was at this point I remembered I had to replace the barrel locking lever piece that fits in this groove below the circle. I lost it at some point during my move across country... You can also see the laser poking out of the side box (bass piece.) I just painted the outside of it black. Scrap plastic cut and trimmed and sanded to fit. Installed but not glued in yet. The front portion (towards left of picture) has been trimmed and rounded slightly to match reference pics. I also cut some grooves at the front that provide grippy texture. That's it for now!2 points

Greetings all Today we launch our newly revised Detachment Tri Fold brochure. It's been quite a long time since we actually had these available. Since then many things have changed leading us to updating some of the text to include new costumes, and have more relevant information. Originally these were done in a limited run by the member who created them, but nowadays we have moved this to a "print your own" service making them accessible to all countries around the globe. Files are available to all full 501st members on request, and are completed in a very high resolution to ensure quality in a finished product. The thread can be found below for more information and how to access the files.1 point

Hello everyone! After a grueling wait I received my 3D-Props DLT-19! I'll be starting with some photo's of everything you get, and will then go onto the build. Along with the basic build of the gun I will be adding the Blast-FX system that I purchase a few months ago. So, this should get interesting. Before I begin I do have to put in one disclaimer, and a review on this build. I am a military Flight Engineer Instructor and when we instruct new students, we have ways of providing new students what we call Constructive Criticism, or Points to Improve Upon. It is a way of pointing out errors to students in hopes that they improve on future flying lessons. It is not meant to bash students, but it is an honest way to try and help them. I will use the same technique to address some issues I had with 3D-Props in hopes that they (Eelco Sanders) can improve their customer service. I write this fully knowing this is a one man operation, and that we should expect some delays in a garage business. At some points in the last 7 months I was truly frustrated with 3D-Props, and held off writing a nasty review, in case Eelco decided to cancel my order and keep my money: POLICY:I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OR CANCELLATION I will be going onto Etsy and his website to provide an honest review of my experience with 3D-Props so that other potential customers know what they are getting into. I then cooled down and went back to my training. I decided to wait until I got my package and then write this review. I placed my order for a DLT-19, paying IN FULL, through his website on 11 June of 2019. The disclaimer on his page stated: MADE ON ORDER - CHECK CURRENT WAITING / SHIPPING TIME Shipping time is determined by the number of orders in queue. 8-9 weeks1 1 Applies to shipping within Netherlands. Information about shipping policies for other countries can be found here: General shipping information Thank you for buying our product, if the product was out of stock it means it will be made on order. This takes around 8-9 weeks due to the amount of pending orders. https://www.3d-props.com/about-1/ After placing my order and waiting 3 months (Sept 2019) I emailed Eelco. It took a couple tries (with an automated email response) and he finally got back to me, stating he was busy but would get to my order. I emailed once again on 04 Nov, and he stated he was in the middle of a DLT print run and would mine done in a week. By 03 Jan 2020 I had still not received my DLT and emailed Eelco explaining that I understood he was busy, but it had been 7 months and I had not received my order after . He got back to me right away and my DLT shipped within 2 days. I received it on16 Jan 2020. So, start to finish it took almost exactly 7 months to get my order. I did read on FB he was having issues with production due to volume of orders and he was a one man operation. My simple solution for this: Change the disclaimer on your website and state an order can take 6 months or longer to fill. So my overall impressions don't get lost at the end of this post and a ton of photo's, here is score: Quality of 3D printing: 4.5 / 5 My first experience with 3D printed items. I'm not sure if some of the raised ridges could be improved upon. Minor flash and excess material on some parts. I have seen posts of what can be made of this kit and it is outstanding. Quality of material: 5/5 Looks sturdy and will hopefully stand up to lots of Trooping Ease of assembly: 0 / 5 There are NO instructions for something detailed and consisting of 84 parts. Thankfully, I have very good knowledge of GPMG's (but not MG-34's) and due to my model building / aircraft maintenance technical skills I can figure stuff out, but the exclusion of basic assembly instructions or diagrams is puzzling and dis-heartening. I understand there is this fantastic Forum and awesome Trooper help out there, but I personally think this is unacceptable Customer service: 1 / 5 I gave him a token 1 because he is a one man shop, doing the best he can, and others state he is a good person. It's just my personal dealings with him that bring down his score. I honestly hope he improves and continues to put out good products. I would even order from him again, IF (Big if!!!!) he could deliver in a timely manner. Okay. enough preaching. Onto the pics!!! Sorry for some grainy shots. My crappy point and shoot... MBB (medium brown box) All the stuff. Charlie is waiting for a box fort... Included 2 posters. would have preferred instructions... Strike off pack sheets for shipment? Nice customs explanation form All the parts. 62 parts Plastic and metal. 22 parts Hardware Parts broken down for reference by colour. For future help from Troopers (Joseph ….) I posted on my TK build page about not knowing what half these parts were, and Joseph got back stating to post pics and he could help ID them for the build. I took a page from my modelbuilding expertise and will label everything as follow: "O" = Orange "W" = White "B" = Black "H" = Hardware Two main assemblies, Upper / lower receiver with butt, and barrel assembly. This is how it is when shipped: Upper receiver feed cover (the long grey piece behind the orange rectangle) is removeable. Butt can be removed, as well as one or two other pieces. They all slip onto a grey PVC pipe that is used for main structural support: Barrel assembly includes a length of aluminum tube, and 5 pieces that slip on: Top of upper receiver: Bipod and pistol grip parts. Bipod can be pivot opened or closed: Grip has a "working" trigger mechanism with reset spring, Comes assembled: Bipod printing ridge details. Not really that bad: Feed cover ridges. Rearward portion of cover: Forward portion of cover, near where the removal pin would be and where it pivots upward: Puppy break: Flash hider: Gas plug(maybe....?) detail: Upper receiver barrel attachment point: Trigger details: Ahhhhh man...….: "O" Parts: Some O part detail shots. Not sure what some are, or how smooth all these will have to be sanded: Bipod leg ridges. Very minor: "B" Parts: Grip details: Cool! Rear graduated sight out to 2000 Meters LOL WTf is this? is this And this? "W" Parts: Are the steps supposed to be there? Reference pics of finished and painted parts would be nice...: "H" Parts: That's it for now. Overall I'm happy with the product.1 point

Hi everyone, It’s been a while since I last posted so thought I’d provide an update. I had issues with the ears and needed order a new set. I’m getting these along with my full armour kit which is why there is a delay while they work through these orders. I’m hoping to have both by the end of the month so 2022 will be all about completing this build. Keep with me people1 point

Awesome thank you. I tried to search his name on google and could not find anything.1 point

Thanks for the advice and the offer to buy your extra lenses Joseph and everyone else. I ordered some 1/16 inch acrylic sheets and will cut them on my scroll saw as my son and a friend want blasters after mine is done and then I want to build a second with electronics in it, so I will need a bunch of them eventually.1 point

Yes, these are fine for installation in the E-11 scopes and I had also used them in the Completion Sets. Like @justjoseph63 already pointed out, you will find them in 2 different colors (at least for the big lens). Just be aware: the red/orange lens really looks red/orange but the blue lens simply is transparent when having it in hands. That was at least my experience and I ordered loads of these over the last years...1 point

Denix MG34 also known as the base for the Stormtrooper/Sandtrooper DLT-19 rifle (and a couple others) arrived. One solid metal piece of 120 cm and 8 kg. A big heavy monster, which is pretty accurate, even barebones as this, but I still intend to add a couple greeblies to make is more starwarsy.1 point

Thanks @Brew12 and @justjoseph63 for the great breakdowns of what I needed to fix. Going down the rabbit hole as usual. I ordered some tools, velcro, elastic and enlisted my wife to help sew a couple sections. Looking much better! Here's what I've done to improve the look and mobility. I added some Velcro to the belt section. It was really tough to keep the snaps snapped. Now it's level and solid I added some elastic at the bottom of my shin pieces that slide under my foot in the boots. This way the shins snap down on my boots. I took your advice and re-did the shoulder bells with heavier snaps. That is much better. (I got the hoover snap tool) My wife helped sew the thigh straps a ton to get those to rise up. Looks and feels much better. I can go up and stairs easily now. Thanks again for the help. I'm getting close!!1 point

Info from another DLT thread that I didn't want to hijack. From Joseph: I found that this product really helped. Some serious sanding with 100 grit, then a few light coats, then more sanding, more coats until I got down to 320 grit. Came out smooth as silk. One thing that will come in VERY handy is silicone sanding sheets. You can bend, twist and do what you like to it and it will not tear. It's a bit pricier than regular sandpaper, but well worth it. To find it just Google 3M Sandblaster Ultra Flexible Sanding Sheets. I used just one sheet to do an entire TK build and a blaster build and it's still good. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rust-oleum-Gray-Filler-Primer/33616414?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=4384&adid=22222222227022202608&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=80421617929&wl4=pla-177653161249&wl5=9010526&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=33616414&veh=sem&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI97vfyvWM5wIVh5WzCh2q8wkmEAQYAyABEgJ7JfD_BwE Sanding sheets: https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/3m-pro-grade-precision-ultra-flexible-sanding-sheets/6000195545072 Thanks Joseph. Appreciate the info. I have a similar paint product in the garage (I think). If not I will pick some up. I was wondering what the best way to tackle the initial sanding would be. Because there are allot of flat surfaces and 90 degree edges. I may wrap the sheets around regular sponge sanding blocks or wood. This should help to prevent me sanding more in one area than another because of uneven finger pressure, thereby creating a "wavy" effect. Did you use an electric palm sander on anything? Would it be overkill? I think it would speed up the process, reduce sanding fatigue, and it has a flat surface to prevent pressure points. I haven't touched the plastic yet so I don't know how hard it is to sand. Gotta check my paint spraying mask to make sure the filters are good (safety first!). Also, if anyone one has experience with this build, and a step by step for assembly, that would be awesome! I'm not sure if I should contact Eelco to see if he has anything like this. It's funny. There are a ton of How To guides for armor out there, but I haven't found anything for blasters... Could this be the first....?1 point
