Hey all! Decided to do an Incinerator Trooper from TFU since I had a spare Anovos kit laying around. I should have probably did a build thread but I have some shots from the process masking and painting at least. I'll put some info for others for some things at the end. Armor: Anovos Pauldron: Trooperbay MP40 Large Pouch: Trooperbay Small Pouch: Trooperbay [Death Trooper pouch] Gloves: Amazon [Generic Nomex, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089QIDK6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1] Boots: Imperial Boots "421" Armor Rubber Trim: Amazon [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BGSZ411/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1] Paint: Rustoleum Satin Enamel "Heritage Red" [for armor flashing/marking] and Rustoleum Flat Enamel "Smoke Gray" [drop boxes] Painter Tape: Scotch blue original [general coverage for paint overspray prevention] Painter Tape: FrogTape multi-surface [for creating sharp paint lines] If you have any questions let me know! I'll be working on the flamethrower as well.4 points

I sent payment for an E-11 on January 27, 2021. It's been close to 10 months (300 days to be exact). Still no blaster. Sigh. Sorry to be piling on, but that's no way to do business.4 points

Hey all! Not much progress, but some updates! On the bright side, both of my other side projects have been completed - the Shadowtrooper I was mentoring has been approved and received his TKID this week! And the other suit I was building for a friend is out the door as well, so focus is back on the FOTK and finishing out my various other little projects. Since my last post, soft goods from Sheev's Emporium and Geeky Pinks have been delivered! I was EXTREMELY impressed with the care and attention that was put into packaging both orders, and with the overall quality of each. They'll obviously, definitely need some additional tailoring, but are in the right ballpark out of the box, and I'm very excited for them. I threw everything on with my TLJ BS helmet real quick for a test run below! I'm supersuper impressed with the stitching on the ribs that Sheev's does - my seamstress literally almost didn't believe that it was sewn and not a pattern until I showed her the backside. The material is also super flexible and pretty breathable - I won't be cool, but it's genuinely not THAT hot. The arms and 'shirt' actually fit pretty spot on (and I LOVE the accurate change in direction on the ribs), but the pants need to be trimmed to bring the knee gaskets up about 2", and I'll be adding stirrups. The shiny shorts fit pretty well, but will also need to be shortened. Neck seal quality is top notch (albeit worn crooked in the pic, my bad) though I may add some velcro to keep the bib held down. While we're on the topic of new stuff, I did order the shoulder/yoke reinforcement brackets from Tony, and I'm currently trying to figure out if/how I can install them, as I believe they were designed with ABS kits in mind. They still may work for me with a little bending and trimming. Interestingly enough, I pulled the holster off and noticed it is not in fact an R2-Dan and all metal as I thought, but a metal faceplate on a resin block. Still nice with the metal screws and all, just needs a repaint and I may use it until I can snag one of Dan's. Finally, I did end up selling the 3D printed F-11D from my original post to a garrison mate... I honestly just didn't want to sand it that much. I happened across a great deal for the above blaster and am pretty hyped on it. Metal accents really make a statement! And just some closing thoughts from @Dsposato0 and I - hit the bar, hang with friends, just make time to have some fun too, like we did at the Funko Pop Hollywood flagship store recently! Cleaning up the workshop over the Thanksgiving holiday here in the States, but I should have more to post once I get back into the bodywork on the suit!3 points

Should've bought 2 orders at 2015 celebration if I had known they'd double in price; I really like the clean up they did on the casting, like an improved, but accurate, reboot.2 points

Attention all members and loyal citizens, Ask not what your detachment can do for you but what you can do for your detachment! Right, now I hopefully have your attention, we got a real easy way that any member can be part of the forum clean up crew, and help out making this place a tiny bit better by doing what many of you already do and that's simply peruse the forums. The task we have is monumental for any one person, but together, many hands make light work and you can feel confident that you played a part in the 2020 FISD term. Here's all you need to do. Find a post while surfing the forums with any of the following, please post a link to it in this thread. and that's it. Job done. What am I looking for? Photobuket water marks across images in a post. Watermarks in general that cover an Image that is advertising in nature. (Members are allowed to watermark photos and images they themselves have taken as long as they don't obstruct the image) Post where the images no longer work or just have info like 12034056.jpeg and nothing else. Broken links in a post that go no where, usually found in older post from years gone by. These generally don't help anyone so may be considered no use or obsolete. Please note we do not require links from anything already residing in the Archive or Trash compactor sections at the bottom of the forum. What happens once you have posted a link here to the thread with the issues. A member of the clean up crew ie. a staff member, will take a look at your link and see if we can rectify the situation by correcting the image, re-instate the broken link, or consider archive the post or thread. We are not in the practice of deleting but rather preserving our history. Once a staff member has attended to the links in question that hopefully will start populating this thread, they will respond to make all aware your post has been attended to. If you have any questions regarding the process, you can also ask those in this new thread. Happy forum surfing1 point

Yeah, I figured the tear and back of the helmet had to be changed as it was originally built for a TD and they don’t have the stripes. Glad to know the rest looks good. I will work on the hovi tips. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Unfortunately I can't flex the best face mould since the originals [emoji23] looks like a crappy fx at the moment but I've diagnosed the issues on the mould. Blue is fill and green is remove. Eyes are my main concern at the moment and the area in front of the tears are too flat but other than that it's not bad. Dome mould is fixed and comes off OK now. Hopefully I can show off something real nice soon, I think it's well on the right track at least. Keen to hear critiques. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk1 point

I plan to do just that next time I suit up. I didn't want to glue them not on the armor. I've spent this much time to get it right, I didn't want to make them be out of place. BTW, remember my question on the back of the AP thigh armor? I did what you said and trimmed a little bit at a time and finally they stated looking correct. I appreciate the help with that. The thighs never looked right in the back but now they do.1 point

You need to post all of your photos into your thread, have a look at other EIB applications. Many of us use a free online image host "Imgur" , tutorial below You also need to add a few more images, check this thread1 point

Yes black under the white, this is in case they pull then you will see white from the top and not black. Webbing doesn't allow any movement, plus it is what was used on screen armor Adding some glue to elastic before adding snaps will give a little extra strength, I used to do this until I discovered using a soldering iron enforced the hole so no longer required glue.1 point

Here's the fitment with the ear/mic packet in place. It's flush! I still can't believe it all fits well. This is how the foam compacted after a day or two. Not bad at all. For test fitting the headphones, I just put some velcro over my screws and popped the headphones in place. It worked but that didn't seem like a great mounting solution forever. Or even for a day. I wanted to do a more solid foundation for the headphones, so I made boxes to go over the ear screws. This is a pre-finished version of the ear box. A passage for the mic wire and space for the three screws and nuts. I made it as tall as my tallest ear screws... ... which meant shortening my extra long ear screws to be about the same height and shorter than before by a thickness of spare armor plastic. Shortening the screws is why I had the ears off again for the photos above. And here's an ear box in place. The layers of plastic were E6000'd together and they sat for a day. The next day I cleaned them up and evened out the edges. Then I did repeated test fittings while grinding down the edges to match the radius of the helmet around the ears for as flush a fit as possible.1 point

They make it look so easy. You may notice in the video that the face plug has quite a big area underneath the front chin, it may help. Also the material used appears quite thin and it isn't cooled very much before removal.1 point

Well in true Rotj style I managed to crush the dome and face moulds however I managed to salvage it. The ears are [emoji8][emoji108] chefs kiss good. Very happy with them. The face you can see the V2 on the left and V1 on the right. It was a weak pull as I had to stop the vac early due to the face crushing but it's not too bad. Very very happy with the vocoder and how that looks. Needs a few tweaks to sharpen it up. Dome I cannot for the life of me pull off the mould without completely destroying it due to undercuts so if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk1 point

So far so good with them, and Anovos armor was actually among my favorites - it's basically cleaned up RS (I won't start that debate tho ) - they just were a terrible company with deplorable business practices. If Denuo took possession of the same molds and production facilities, I'm optimistic we'll see OTTKs from them, but I know their focus is on fulfilling FOTK backorders.1 point
