I've noticed that the black of my frown goes into the gums. I've removed the excess paint, but waiting on a tin of coal black humbrol 85 to neaten up the lines. Should be here before the end of the week. Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk1 point

Hi Mark, we're almost ready to finish your application. I'll need to ask just one more photo Trooper. Could you please add a close photo of your helmet's frown? something like the one below try the same angle so we can check the painting up and down. Sample Image . Thank you for your patience,1 point

Projects not dead, just a bit slow going. I've assembled some of the body armour but I'm not overly happy with it. I might end up re-printing it and rebuilding. Also COVID weight. Small child back armour for 70% scale. This is a little pinched in at the sides which is "sub optimal". Again not overly happy with how the body sections have come out as whole so will re address these later. I have started on the fore arms which I'm a lot happier with. The resin printer has done some fine work on the detail parts. I have modded the rail section to allow for a screw at the top to match the screen used props. I wasn't happy with the shape of the holes in the raised bits so have made a small part which was cut in to replace the original one. Not a huge difference, and you'd never notice from more than a meter away but it made me happier. The helmet has also been in the corner staring at me being all oversized and a pain to assemble. So I took a punt on the Hasbro black series helmet. Clearly not clearable out of the box, but as a canvas I think it will work. Some holes need to be filled and some holes need to be made. When I can I'll get some isographic images and compare the helmet with the one sold at auction a year or so ago. First impressions are: It goes on my head which is never a given. The strapping supplied is awful It's rather heavy compared to what I am used to in the OT bucket But it looks pretty decent1 point

Hi Shawn, and that is a fantastic looking set of armor! I'm not sure which of us will be reviewing your submission, but we will need you to do us a favor before we can move you along and get that EI badge under you name.. As per the CRL for Basic approval, "Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area". You have a bit of work to remove some of the paint as shown below, but 15 minutes with some non-acetone paint remover, a few toothpicks and cotton swabs and you will be golden! Since you will need the points at the ends of the frown, I would highly suggest repainting all the teeth ( Humbrol # 5 or Testors # 1138) as the color would not match the original one Anovos used. Just take your time, use a quality brush, and you will done quicker than you think! (Keep the caffeine to a minimum beforehand, though ) We have faith in ya', sir, and as soon as you are done, post up some revised pics and we can get going!1 point

Hi Greg, I keep hearing Ford Diamond White but I don’t know for sure if that is a) the closest match from current paints available, or the actual shade used for the originals. As it stands, the photo of yours makes the sprayed helmet look a little in the yellow side compared with Ford Diamond White (and perhaps a little matte). Here’s a comparison of one of mine, if it helps: Left - RS ABS Centre - TM spray painted Ford Diamond White Right - 4 year old RWA ABS helmet1 point

There are dye's out there which you can find mainly at haberdashery shops, really depends how much of a color variance you want, a cheap option would be to do a very light tea/coffee wash, just add a little of either tea or coffee to hot water and soak the belt.1 point

Cool I’ll be in touch over the next couple of weeks. I’ve had a crack at writing a CRL based on the existing R1 TK, but any help would be much appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

The name "Remnant" according to LFL sources comes after ROTJ and the start of the New Republic so wouldn't cover R1 or Solo. Perhaps you could split some CRL's into 2 versions like other detachments do, example: Stormtrooper: Anthology - Rogue One / Solo / Mandalorian Version 1 - Clean Version 2 - Weathered Stormtrooper: Incinerator Mandalorian Stormtrooper: Artillery Mandalorian1 point

So you have full belt Angled belt and thinner side, does not appear to have drop box overhang Shorter belt sides, no cut corner, or bent behind, with drop box overhang, cod wider than center belt section But also angled belt behind the last center belt boxes so much shorter than the above image and overhang of drop box. This shorter front center belt section could have been cut this way to follow the sides of the cod as the cod height appears a lot shorter than on other troopers. Cod shorter than center belt section And another shorter sides of the belt, drop box overhang and shorter center belt area with angled cut under last box. Cod larger than center belt section.1 point
