  1. WOW! I agree with Cricket 100%, Fabio! Outstanding job on those updates, brother.. One thing that you will be asked to do for level 3 is to remove the weathering from the T-tracks on your blaster. Since the ones used in the films were made of plastic, they would not have any metallic looking finish to them. A few dabs of black paint and you will be good to go, sir! 3. I saw this video online and at about 5:36 there's a mention about some of the 501st legion being in the film! Lucky you Honestly you guys should get props for not spoiling anything, since I didn't see anything on here about any of the 501st being in it. That must've been so awesome for the troopers involved! Great work! ----------

  4. Hi everyone, I received my approval yesterday and have signed up for 2 troops including the Toronto Comicon. I look forward to meeting many of you and to giving to the community. If only I knew: -Just how much information is out there! -That the advice on here is so solid. -Do more research, make more notes -Triple check your supply list -Just how darned HOT it is inside TK armor! Oops! -Gather all of your supplies and triple check your list. It will save a LOT of trips back and forth to the fabric stores, hardware stores, hobby stores, Amazon... A funny thing happened on the way to the Death Star: -My journey started with an email to a 501st member that I found on the 501st.ca site. He welcomed a total stranger (well.. he DID Facebook stalk me and talk to a mutual friend to make sure I wasn't a total psycho) with awesome advice, invited me to his home to see his armor, and has been there for me the entire journey, taking pictures, offering advice, and volunteering to help at any time. Thanks SO much to @Twosolitudes Shout Outs: @Twosolitudes @68Brick @gmrhodes13 @wook1138 and everyone else who helped, laughed, and kept me company during my build thread. Last of all to my dad. Last summer was spent at the hospital with my dad who was slowly wasting away to prostate cancer. The last conversation I had with him was when I told him I had finally found the Trooper armor that I wanted to order, and told him the price. He said "Buy it". The next day he was unconcious and unresponsive, and he died the day after. My TKID is in honour of him. His birthday was April 8 1934, and I am TK 40834.

  5. Yes, we were asked not to tell anything and it has been so hard to keep quiet but so rewarding. As more is released we will be able to share everything with our brothers and sisters but until then we have to respect what LFL and Disney asked of us. This picture is official now so I can at least say..... notice there aren't any holsters?

  6. All you need is either Humbrol or Testor's gloss white in the 1/4 oz. size, available at most craft stores or online. Be sure to get the Enamel as opposed to the Acrylic, though.

  11. All you will need is a small paintbrush and you should be fine, Greg. One thing I would recommend before painting the rivets is to sand and then wipe down the heads first, which will allow the paint to adhere better.

  12. I'm still here! In fact I have a goal of doing something small each night to keep this train on track for joining the 501st. It is amazing how long this takes with too much over thinking and lots of do overs from mistakes. Best to learn now before I tackle the legs and the dreaded sniper plate. Still working on forearms but getting closer to finishing them. Waiting on third cover stip and then one more left, which includes a small trench fill strip trimmed to fit the gap. After this I will leave them for a while to get fully cured before taping them up for hot bath reshaping. TD got a second coat so might put that together in the mean time or get started on strips for thighs.

  13. As an approved The Force Unleashed Incinerator trooper, I must do this version as well! I can not wait to figure out all the details for this kit!!!

  14. “Rounded” like to take the return edge off the wrists and whatnot. I know I’ll do a good amount of sanding anyway, but I always look for the most efficient ways of doing things. Very OCD they way. I’ll look into tin snips. I have a few but those are huge and totally wont do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. I almost fell out of my seat when I first saw it! Enough people have seen the bootleg version now. They might as well put up the official version.

  19. Thanks for those, Fabio! Boy, you're quick! Before we can get things rolling, we also need one more updated photo: Hovi Mic tips with more accurate mesh. It should be fairly easy to pop out the fine mesh screen and put in something that resembles the mesh in the green circles as shown below. Once we have these new photos, we should be able to get started on your review. Thank you!
