  1. A far cry from all that panic at the start, we all go through it and by the end wonder what the worry was all about

  2. haha so true. Pretty sure I had a panic attack or two on my first build

  3. Alright... I’m ready for Halloween! I’ll be standing stationary for sure... but it feels so good and amazing when it all comes together!!! After Halloween issues to fix. Need to add Tony’s hooks to the back of my shins. Need to fix the sniper knee plate. Got that issue where it ticks into the thigh. Cod strap is half the length it needs to be. Also need to paint the back leg cover strips Anovos white. I’m sure there’s more but I’m pleased thus far. Good god it’s hard to see out of. Further critique is welcome. 4. So I forgot to make a build post on this. Bought from diversity props and had to resize for my height and update a few things. Will try to update this post later maybe Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  5. RS Prop Masters is having a sale on armor for their YouTube subscribers. http://www.rspropmasters.com/product/armor-only-kit-option/ It's a really great price for one of the most (if not the most) accurate armor kits out there. It also includes shipping in the price (so yay).

  7. If you are trying to replicate the original strapping, only the right hand side white shoulder elastic has a snap fastener connecting it to the chest plate. The left side strap is glued directly to the chest and back. Just an FYI

  8. I can tell you about the original ROTJ props for what it's worth: -White soles on boots. -Single cap rivets holding the knee plate onto the shin - one either side. -No kidney rivets on ROTJ armour

  9. Thank you Dan, Tino and Brian!! You've all been very helpful and in so many ways. Thanks for offering up retainer rings Brian - I will make due with the doopydoos resin cast ones as etched into the scope for now. My son does have an extensive Lego collection...the hunt is on for a flag pole! [emoji28] Tino, I managed to tap out the two lenses and spacer and will test what combination works best for me for install, paying close attention if a combination blurs my reticle focus. I will likely just do a one lens install. I have seen your picture on spade bits at 10mm and 11mm for installing the lens...that will be next update....thanks all for the valuable input!! 11. You may want to add a little foam behind your sniper plate to hold it away from your thigh, it looks as if it may hit. Go out and have a blast, you definitely will know what will hit and bite once you have worn the suit for a while and interacted with younglings. Good luck

  12. As Tino said, lens curved side faces outward on both ends. If you are in need of the outer retaining rings both large and small, let me know and I can send some resin ones I have from my kits. Great work on the scope!

  13. It should work without damaging it. When having it in hands, you can unscrew the black retainer ring (with a knife blade or something). When the retainer ring is removed, the two small lenses and the spacer ring between them should fall out. If not, gently push something through the front end. No, the picture you are referring to is from a build with Brian's (@Bulldog44) scope with hollowed core and shows two casted resin pieces holding the small lens in place. This is slightly different to what you are building. According to my research back then, the two small lenses with spacer ring are used to compensate the pillow- and barrel-distorsion (see the graphic from my earlier comment), which is useful for real telescopes. In our resin builds we do not get them to work like that (believe me, I tried hard). We just want both scope ends to look real. From that point of view, it is absolutely up to you if you want to install just one small lens, or both of them with that spacer ring. As for the orientation, I would always install the domed side facing the outside. Real telescopes have it that way and you want yours to look real. Not sure on this one, as it never had any impact on my builds. Give it a try and play with the parts you have, try various combinations and check if one changes anything...

  14. Hey buddy. I used a Lego flag pole to install mine!! Lol Mine is a bad example, though. I rushed the front lens of mine and just super glued it where it sat. My scope has next to zero visibility. :-) I’m sure, being you, you’ll find a good resolve. [emoji106][emoji2532] Dan :-)
