Much thanks for the help in making my signature less of a novel and more like what I intended.1 point

I changed the behavior back to normal in the admin control panel, instead. If people want new paragraphs when pressing enter, they just need to press it twice.1 point

SUPER nice job on both the armor and blaster, Jay! You may need to move the shoulder bells in a bit, and it looks like the top of your right forearm may need a little trim at the join, but that may just be the angle of the photo. Good luck, sir, and I'm sure we will see that Centurion badge under you name soon!1 point

I managed to move many of my Photobucket pics over to imgur, but found that it will not allow me to copy the ones I have edited there. Glad to be rid of PB anyway, as it sometimes took up to 10 minutes to download or edit one photo.1 point

Hi Henning, I received your PM regarding the broken links and will discuss this shortly with the other team members. We will find a solution to bring the photos back up again.1 point

I too think the R1 TK's look best. and its because they are just that, "idealized". It is how you remember it, or at least think it would look, and has the maneuverability that the OT don't.1 point

OK, looks like I was able to setup a hosting account, so here's a few pics from today. OK guys, so let us know your thoughts! I know right off the bat, the brow trim looks low, but that's because I forgot to readjust them; they tended to move down with all the man-handling as we worked on the buckets.1 point

When it's ready. We're all users of tapatalk, rest assured that we will get it working eventually, as we want to use it just as much as you. You can use the web browser in your phone in the meantime. It works quite well with the mobile friendly skin.1 point

I am anxious as well for the kit. I don't care what others may think, or how blasphemous it may sound, but I prefer the "idealized" look if the R1 TKs. This is how I remember them from the OT.1 point

Hi Kirill and welcome to FISD! Congrats on your armor purchase! Take a look around the other Anovos build threads to get an idea on how your armor comes together. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. Good luck and have fun!1 point

When I get notifications that say someone liked my post or I see someone clicked it in my post, I feel good knowing someone read it and liked it. for me, I do recognize when people click it and appreciate they responded to a post. I understand what you mean because I used to not think much of this function but since I post more now and hear back from members following my posts with likes, it feels more interactive than empty posting with no response if they don't write a reply. Just my opinion though.1 point

Love the Soviet outfit Kirill! I've got a bunch of CCCP militaria too, that's my second hobby lol. You're in the right place for help, and that's a great attitude to have, Welcome aboard Tovarish!1 point

Hi Aleksi, Martyn got your strapping kit labels correct. Luckily when I got mine, they RS crew labeled everything. Here's the picture for reference. Regarding the biceps, the one with the dimple is the left one. The outer pieces of the biceps have that raised ridge and there is a slight curve which points forwards. That's how you know which one is left vs. right. Here's my left arm assembly. Here you can see the curve (where my finger is pointing). For reference here are where the straps go. White ones with snaps attach the top of the back to the top of the chest. The wire brackets with nuts & bolts are used to hang the ab from the chest and the butt from the kidney from the back. The 3" wide elastic is to hang your thighs from the garter belt. The 1" wide elastic with snaps is to hang the shoulder bells from the white elastic which connects the chest/back. Another piece of 1" elastic (without snaps) is to hang the bicep from the shoulder bell. The 2" wide elastic hangs the forearms from the biceps. Here's a link to my build where I show the bicep pieces in more detail (presuming I can make this link work).1 point

Rom/FX is the best option, hands down. But you know, you get what you pay for.1 point

I wanted to post some pictures to show how well the suspension system functions. Here it is hanging on a mannequin. Without chest, yoke, TD and belt1 point

Suspension (strapping) cont... 31. Shoulder Gaskets The gaskets will have three shoulder to shoulder connections. Starting from what would be the back side I'm going to be creating two anchor points using 5/8 (15mm) black elastic, 12mm cap rivets and 5/8" buckles. Back side From the ribs at the top of the shoulder, measure from the rib closest to you (the front) 1" down and 1" from the gasket edge. Mark the location. Note: this will be performed on both left and right gaskets so you may see pictures of either / or. Next hole down will be 6-1/2" from the top rib and again 1" from the edge. At the newly marked locations punch a 1/8" hole for the cap rivets. 32. Cut four 12" strips of 5/8" elastic. Fold over 1" at one end then punch a hole using the same hole punch describe above. Cap rivet to be used. 12mm Gun metal. 33. Install rivets and elastic. 34. Flip gasket over to the front. Being there's only one connection from gasket to gasket in the front the mount will be a bit different. Instead of one anchor point there will be two, two anchor cap rivets with 5/8" nylon ribbon between the two. First hole, measure and mark 6" down from the top ribs, rib closest to front. Also measure and mark 1" from the side. 34b. The second hole will be 1" below that hole. 35. Cut a 4-1/2" section of 5/8" nylon ribbon. 36. Fold over each end approximately 1" and using the hole punch, punch a hole through both sections. 37. Feed ribbon through 5/8" female buckle. 38. Install ribbon anchor using the same 12mm cap screws. Should look like this when finished. 39. Install buckles on the rear gasket elastic straps. Note; It would be wise to install the buckles in the opposite direction to avoid connection issues while putting on the armor. View from the back View from the front. to be cont...1 point
