Hello everyone,

I am still "New-ish" to the 501st ( this is my third year) as a Biker Scout TB-32173 and want to ad a TK to my roster.

I know I'm a little short for a Stormtrooper at 5'6 and 135 pounds, and at 52 years old don't see that changing, lol. I hope to find helpful info on building a lot for my small stature.

I don't have a lot of extra $$ and am really hoping to find a good price on used armor but see that I can't have immediate access to the classifieds.

I look forward to my second build

Woo-hoo! Always good to see another badger join the ranks! Somewhere out there I'm sure is an image of Bucky in TK armor. :)

Welcome to FISD Trooper, .Don't worry about heigh. If well constructed and adjusted  you'll see great as an Imperial Stormtrooper

I'm 5'7" at 145lbs and height was my main reason for not doing a TK. However buying larger boots and inserting 3" heels makes a difference. I also wear my helmet a bit high (don't tell my Expert Infantry friends lol) and I'm much more in line with my 5'9" troopers. There hasn't been a troop not being called short for a stromtrooper but guess what, not a single kid has said that and we're super heroes to them and that's what matters.

As far as budgeting when it comes to hobbies or trips I always ad 50% MORE than what I expect. It's always what ends up happening so I'd make sure you have a nicely saved buffer before diving in. Good luck!

Thanks everyone, I ordered my Walt's armor kit today, and am looking forward to starting my build thread and getting your guidance on trimming to fit and the different strapping systems I have reading about.

Daetrin, are you anywhere near the Appleton area by chance?

Great to hear, looking forward to seeing a build thread from you soon.

You will find a lot of helpful info in this thread

We also have some great photos in the gallery area for referring to https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/category/19-ottk-reference/

I'm 5'9" and even I get asked if I'm a little short for a stormtrooper.  But hey, don't worry about it.  If you build it and it look proportional that is what matters.

Welcome to the FISD!!

Thanks for sharing your concerns with all of us!! Once you get a deep dive in the the Forum, you will read that we all troopers are very different!

As many in this same thread have explained, what truly matters is that fits you correctly (adjusted to your body).

Please welcome and don´t hesitate to ask!

Thanks for the links.

I had previously read through and bookmarked  Sha-Sha's build when I first started looking, I'll check out the other 2 as well!
