I am going to post up most of the build, please beware I am not the best photographer.. So here is how the parts arrived rough trimmed out of the box. firebladejedi[TK] Posted May 31, 2014 Author Report Share Posted May 31, 2014 Im going to have a fairly small return edge on the parts to make this more comfortable for trooping as I wont be using the accurate strapping methods to construct this armour. Otherwise I would have left a bigger return to accommodate the screws needed. I use a pencil to mark where I will cut and am using lexan scissors to trim all parts. You will need to offer the parts up and see how much they need to be trimmed for a good fit. This is where the time will soon add up for your build. If the two parts do not met up 100% that's ok as these armour parts will be butt jointed and a joining strip added over the join as the originals were. So you will not see the ugly join. I use blue tape to check fit and hold the parts together while glueing. This shin the parts do not join up that neatly but you will not see this later. When you are happy with them simply glue and tape down and wait to dry. Here you can see how they cover the two parts of the clamshell. And, while the rivets may not be 100% Centurion these days, they are still a very valid way to build kit. Heck, if people get tired of it they can always put on a new sniper plate later...
