I take this role very seriously and work hard to serve the needs of every stormtrooper in the Legion, from the newest applicant to the oldest veteran. Last year was very much a heavy work year and the staff was very heads down getting the CRLs completed, creating the Imperial Reception Center, doing multiple merch runs, and also getting the detachment newsletter up and running. While providing an excellent foundation along the way we’ve lost focus a bit on the whole reason why we came together here in the first place. Getting back to basics, in 2011 our focus will be on the rank and file trooper, especially the needs of those 1700 Legion members who’ve never been on the boards at all, or not for a long while. “Set for Fun� is the theme of this year. (It was originally “15 minutes can save you $500� but some gecko gave u What can you expect in 2011? The last of the CRL’s completed (holdover, *cough*, *cough*) For new candidates A visual guide that breaks down the differences in armor between ANH, ESB, ROTJ, etc. A visual guide that compares the various armor makes side by side [*]For those seeking a greater challenge Enhanced EIB requirements that are more clearly explained, including visual guides A new “best of the best� program that will be announced in harmony with MEPD (and possibly SpecOps) [*]For the grizzled veteran Renewed focus on ensuring there is a good stream of content for people who already have kits, as well as making such content easier to find, such as “cheap and easy upgrades� along with “armor news�. [*]For all forum users Re-organized content to make key pieces of information easier to find, and also doing a better job of keeping the Reception Center updated, lest we lose that one thread where we find out what really is the difference between ESB and ROTJ blasters. FISD is a treasure trove of information and assistance, however it’s not much value for those that can’t visit the forum often or who’s native language is not English.
