  1. I got to speak with the Prop Masters while having issues trying to remove my holster from my belt since it was riveted on. According to him, the suits (TK's) & their weapons were all on Loan from LFL & had all been used in the production & filming of Rogue One.
  2. There is nothing Wrong with using FX armor. Most of the Fans and almost all the kids you will encounter won't even begin to have any clue what "brand' of armor you are wearing, all they will see is a Stormtrooper if its put together properly.
  3. If you can get your hands on a fresh kit, you'd be saving yourself a lot of frustration and extra work...
  4. I sat and talked face to face for about 2 1/2 hours with the maker of NE armor about a month back. After a very long discussion covering the subjects of the AM suits, the new NE suits and all this recasting business, I personally do not believe that the suit was recast from an RS suit as some would claim. The truth is he had been telling me about working on what would become the NE suit back when I picked up my very first suit of AM, over 3 years ago. And I would continue to hear new developments over time as I would buy another 2 AM kits from him as time went on. I'm not sure I or anyone else even knew what an RS suit was 3 years back... Now, if someone really does posses actual proof of the crime, then why not share it with the community? I don't understand what benefit is to be gained or what service to the community is achieved by keeping it a secrete & guarded among a select privileged few? While its true that ultimately I have nothing more to form my own decision/opinion/beliefs on other than the opinion & words of a few on the internet that I don't really know & have never met VS. the words of someone I know personally & have done business with repeated times over the past few years. My instinct lead me to side with the person I know. With that being said, If these allegations were proven to be true beyond a shadow of a doubt... The maker of NE would truly deserve an Oscar! Because then that means he gave me the best 2 1/2 hr live unscripted performance I have ever seen in my entire life...
  5. Looking good man! I just picked one of these suits tonight. Glad to see they are turning out so nice!
  6. I turned Halloween into a 3 day party this year with the help of LBCC
  7. Happy Birthday Fearless Leader!
  8. If it ain't broke, don't fix, look at it, touch it, hell don't even whisper its name....
  9. The AM has very clean, hard defined lines & definition compared to the old FX which tends to be "flatter" at least from what I have seen standing next to suits who have seen 10+ years in the field. The goal of the new AM suit was to be something between "Idealistic Stormtrooper" & "Realistic Stormtrooper" (something a real solider would have to wear). The best part of the AM is that it feels like it could take a bullet, not really but you get my meaning. While true, its roomy enough for larger troopers, I have seen plenty of "lean" trooper make fantastic looking suits. Truth is, with any suit you are you to have to trim it to your exact body type if you want it to look good. You get out of your suit, exactly what you put into it. Just stay away from the AM lid. Just request the "lite" kit if you do order one. On a side note, Ive know ive seen an ATA suit up close, but I didn't have much of a chance to look at it closely.
  10. I had the same problem with my AM also abs, my arms were to big for the bells. I fixed this problem with a heat gun and a lot patients. But totally fixable. Just be careful.
  11. Unless a person creates (by any means) a soul one of a kind suit for their own personal use & nothing more they do two things.... They open themselves up to recoup some of the cost of time, labor & materials. This is done in the name of the community, although most likely an illegal venture, its looked upon with a blind eye by many involved parties with holding at stake. But of course you better not become to successful or you bet that the villagers will be met with pitch forks & torches. The same goes for community you are giving a helping hand too if they decided to rally against you as angry mobs like to do. They allow they creation they have slaved over to complete, to be reversed engineered. Sadly what is completely out of their control is to what level this will be done. Because you cant say that the next person is going to make a one of a kind creation, or come hell or high water a commercial product to force feed to the ignorant masses. Creating armor is very much a business venture with all the involved risks & cost. Look how quickly blu-rays become standard across the market when for only a whisper in time, sony held the soul one. And they operate behind a curtain of bs laws and lawyers to protect them. I salute anyone who has the ball to undertake creating armor. But the truth of the matter is, no amount of mud slinging, Shouting Re-Cast, or Shouting LEGITIMATE LINES for that matter is going to really change the die hard who had their suit for any number of years, or if it has served any memorable troops, of really if they just have their heart set on that suit of "fill in the blank" just because new suits from any creators is or might be hitting the market. Maybe the reason other boards don't have these silly discussions is because they have come the realization that without the internet, you I and anyone who can read this would have no idea about the other suits out side of our area if they even existed & you were lucky enough or had very good connections. But more importantly the kids laid up in the hospitals, their families and those we meet on in the open public have no clue they are so thrilled to see a stormtrooper standing in front of them. I guess the same could be said about the kids who ran in terror from me, however I didn't have a chance to ask if they were running because they were scared or because my armor does not have any traceable lineage.....
  12. I get a lot of complements on my RT-mod lid. Its so much nicer to wear vs my Efx, if only it came in black....
  13. Damn skinny troopers! You & your suit look awesome! Can't wait to hear what its going into...
  14. No I am not the one making it. This film is far beyond anything I could have ever pulled together! Not only were we lucky enough to get tapped for this project as 501st & Rebel Legion, but the film itself is being done with LFL's blessing. If you're on Facebook go check out http://www.facebook.com/#!/hughestheforce or @HughesTheForce if you on twitter. Yes, those are blood strips on her jeggins. A great call by the production team Whats funny is, she was getting complements on her pants from the general public while she was away from the set on her breaks. I am the trooper on the left..... While my height & frame is far beyond that of what a cannon TK should be, as ive said before "it pays to be the tallest trooper in the bunch"
  15. All I have to say is, "its good be a be a trooper" & this film will blow you away with the quality, care & love going into it.... I will post more pictures & back story when more official press has been released....
  16. Amazing work! You may have out done yourself with this one!
