  1. Novus scratch remover should do it. They have different stages, depending on the type of scratch. You can tape around the area to prevent this in the future.
  2. Yes, I would remove some more at top and bottom. Here is a pick of my frown
  3. Sorry I missed your response. Those are diamond files and are great for fine detail and will work you just have to file more. Harbor freight and many hobby stores sell file sets just like this with standard file teeth and allow you to remove the material faster. Down the road, it is good to have a set of both and they are similar in cost. I personally use a small sanding drum from the inside and remove the back of the tooth area and then file and sand. Basically, it comes down to what works best for you to achieve the finished product.
  4. At SDCC Gino let me hold and examine the helmet they had w/ the prop suit. It was hips, so the ABS version may lose some details. If they are using the same bucks then I think you guys will be happy w/ the final product, it will come down to production and whether that waters down the finished helmet. I really enjoyed seeing what real bubble lenses look like. I personally do not care for the hero lid, but I can still appreciate it! As for the pill detail, I did not have time to examine every detail, I will have to check my pics. If I am remembering correctly though I believe the individual helmet was to be glassed, now that I think about it. I guess we will have to wait and see A major factor is most likely the type and cost of the licensing.
  5. Once you make the bucket symmetrical it loses the iconic look. I prefer to stick w/ the original look I grew up with. It does come down to personal preference. I would be curious to know if the folks who lived through StarWars when it happened are more cannon prone than the younger generations who lived through the re-released movies. As an artist, I appreciate the asymmetry as it depicts a hand made object versus a CGI image. By keeping it original it pays homage to Liz and Brian and the wonderful work they did. If you hold a mirror to half your face you will realize that it looks like you but is not quite you, asymmetry is a natural occurance and many of us appreciate the beauty of that. So, I think it comes down to perspective. Some of us groove toward the ideal and some the natural.
  6. I would suggest you get your hands on a small file set. This will work great to do your finish work, plus you have more control of how much material you remove. You can then follow up with a fine sand paper to smooth the edges and debur.
  7. The original belt was smaller, the new larger belt is more accurate. The original had smaller boxes closer together. I had a fellow trooper( who owned an fx suit) snap my original in half, I ordered my replacement and was surprised that it was larger. I had to make 2 new holes in the canvas, easy fix. I am much happier w/ the new belt!
  8. Wow! So sorry to read this. I love my gloves and hand guards. Karin, thank you for your service to the tk community.

  14. shoe goo works bonding rubber and fabric. I use it to adhere the fabric fur onto rubber shoes and latex hands. remains flexible
  15. Thank you Wayne! I lost 50 pounds, was 235 with a 36-37 waist to 185 with a 33 waist. I have since gained some back due to stress, but I am still able to fit my armor. I currently have a 34 inch waist. Luis, I started to review the trooper fit club thread and followed some of the important tips. I, basically, used the target brand of slim fast shakes(Royale) and drank 2 a day with one meal trying not to exceed 2000 and no less than 1500 calories each day. I have since gained back 10 pounds from stress and will soon go back to this method to loose 15 pounds and then begin a regular workout schedule. It took me 5-6 months to loose the 50 pounds.
  16. Just got mine in! These are awsome, way more comfortable than caboots. These are roomy I run between a 10 and 10.5 US and my size 10's fit great. They even send you a shoe horn, but they slipped on fine. I like the modifications they did.
