  1. Well, I spent a long day at storage looking thru my collection of vintage toys searching for a box. That box had not seen the light of day for years, and I have been thinking about it a lot as I began my current Hasbro mod. The box that says Stormtrooper gun. I found it The reason I have a thing for Hasbro blasters, my first E-11 circa 1978. One of my prized possesions, is in great condition except for the broken tip. Rifle mode Close-up date and sticker So there you have it, the reason I do Hasbro mods Hope you enjoy the nastalgia
  2. My prayers are out there! Congrats on your upcoming graduation
  3. A big Happy Birthday!!! Have a great day. Thank you for keeping the troops supplied with fans
  4. I have had this happen once, last year at comic con. I had been in armor for most of the day and it seamed hotter inside on Sat than Turs and Fri. My Fan cut out while I was trooping at the Hasbro booth, Luckily we were almost done. I started really sweating and it got in the mic and it did not work til it dried out a short time later.
  5. Way to go Lou! Looking forward to seeing that T-track
  6. I was just able to vote using the mobile skin. So, it must be something on my end. Thank you!
  7. Paul, Thank you for jumping right in I really appreciate it. I am trying to get back into the swing of things and be a helpful member of the community. I did not try the mobile skin today, so I will try that right now. What is strange is that I believe I have been able to vote in 2 polls but received the error, and when I change skins I would get you can not vote. Thank you! Yes, I am running IE 8. What do you suggest? I had trouble with firefox. I am going to try the mobile skin right now to see what comes up
  8. I am still unable to vote even after changing skins. Please help me, I have been unable to vote on many things so far. It is not a fare poll if you are not able to vote. Could this be an issue with my computer security settings? I am at a loss, i just want to vote and provide my input. Thank you
  9. I just wanted to update my build with some pics of my new physique. I am finally screen accurate(no more shims ). A few outside shots If you are trying to lose the shims I suggest you follow the trooper fit club!
  10. He is Risen, He is Risen indeed! May you all embrace the wonderful event we celebrate this day!!!
  11. Well, Here are my before trooper fit club and after shots. Right side Before After Left side Before After My entire armor is looser and I have more mobility now! Just need to adjust my snaps to bring the left in a hair more and I should be good Can't wait to go Centuirion with my ANH build!
  12. Very Nice! I really like how you weathered the armor, little scuffs here and there. Really cool screen accurate look Do you have the elastic straps in your calves or do they free float clam shell?
  13. Thanks! I will have to look into getting a kit Nice reference shots!
  14. Great Job!! If you are going ESB leave it the way it is. I did not know doopy doo's had an ESB kit You will want to use the T-track for sure. You should have no problem getting EIB with your blaster
  15. I have been really impressed by all the progress and great information in this thread. I had been bouncing around 205-215 for the past couple of years and I have been sporting plastic shims since I have been trooping. It always bothered me that I could not close the side and have that screen look. My wife and I lost our baby girl in July of 2010, This really spiralled me into a bad depression and I began eating more and went back to smoking. By December I had reached my Max of 235lbs, I had to obstain from trooping because I could not fit comfortably in my armor. I am 6ft and my waist had gone past 36 inch and was sporting a large barrell belly. After the first of the year I began to motivate myself to make the effort to get back in shape. I started to follow the trooper fit club thread, checking in everyonce in awhile. I began my quest with the shrinking of the stomach, I did this by making my meals smaller. I began to eat things like bannanas and fruit roll-ups for snacks. I endured hunger pains but toughed it out. Instead of my normal snacking at bedtime, I have a glass of milk. I also introduced slimfast into my diet as a meal. I have to admit i have done a tad bit of starvation, but I am working on keeping the calorie count between 1500 and 2000. I have dropped down to a 34 waist and weigh in at 196lbs. I can fit in my armor with out shims My target weight is 185lbs(ripped). I have been doing abdominal exercises and some cardio. I am about to begin my work out schedule to tone up and regain strength. During this process I will take a specialized creatine to assist with the process. Thank you for all of the great info and accounts! I will post up some pics later
  16. Small Update! I have been working on the folding stock and am nearly completed with the prototype. I have extended the length to account for the barrell extension and am working on the functionality. Here are the Pics This small part will eventually be what attaches the 2 parts together and allow movement This last shot is the of the side of the Mag which I had not completed earlier. Hope to have another update soon
  17. Thank you for the kind words! Much appreciated Congrats on your 501st status. Nice Juno Eclipse, BTW. You Know it Brother! Thanks, I have a small update below! Thanks for the compliment! Thanks for the screw size, I have one that is close. The one in the pictures is for me to be able to handle the small part I cast. A big thank you to you for posting such nice photos of your real counter box, those are great to reference
  18. If you have a dollar store, you can find a variety of affordable plastic in diff shapes and sizes. I have used there trash cans for many projects. Hope you find something that works!
  19. While working on my counter, I made the decision to fabricate all of my doopy-doos parts. This will allow me to do as many hasbro mods as I want with out ever needing another kit Here is my first try at building the magazine, I am happy so far. Need to go to ACE and get the set pin to attach to the back and it will be ready for clean up. Interior shots of the prototype structure. Fitting Full mag fitting Parts side by side Better get back to it!
  20. Here is my attempt at scratch building the power cylinders. With a cheap bolt pack from WalMart, a couple binding posts, some ABS and a 4pack of markers from the dollar store I completed this. Feedback is welcome
  21. My first blaster was ESB, and did not need a counter. I did not care for the doopy-doos, so I used it for scale and parts. I tried to make mine more accurate with the addition of prongs, which I will solder the cylinder wires to. Prongs Just need to bondo and clean up, should turn out nice The PICS
  22. Very clean ear trimming, nice. looking good. Can't wait for that box to come to my house
  23. Here are a couple shots of my fan placement. fresh air is pulled in and blown up toward my forhead. Hope this helps
