  1. ----------- I actually have the same setup you are talking about. I recommend you get the amp in this thread. Comes with two inputs so you can have a mic and MP3 player hooked up. Works like a charm and is very loud. Best trooping speaker. ---------
  2. Hey John, the EIB is what you seek. You do not need it to simply be a member of this forum. The way it goes is: 1. Member (anyone) 2. 501st Member (anyone with 501st clearance of any costume) 3. Stormtrooper (501st cleared stormtrooper costume) 4. Stormtrooper EIB (EIB cleared 501st stormtrooper)
  3. It's 501st acceptable without. You won't need it unless you are going for the EIB.
  4. Back track a bit there. eBay should never be your source for good stuff...
  5. Warm and sunny here in paradise
  6. There is no official proper way to display TK ID. Generally I like to use TK-6918 but sometimes certain login's won't accept the hyphen or a space between TK and the numbers.
  7. I think non idealized is more than welcome here, but for actual membership you will need to stick to the CRL requirements. Sure there were troopers without stripes or this and that, but we all know that there were non-intentional flaws. As a unit we need to try to look somewhat uniform in some shape or form. This may sound silly but I think those "cannon" flaws may only be acceptable at non-cannon troopings? I'm pretty sure you can get away with smaller details. One of our staff members troops with some "tape" on his belt as seen on one trooper in the movie, though I forgot who.

    Welcome back Steve!
  9. Oh wow, I thought MoT was a reputable guy who sold resin e-11 kits? Or am I getting confused with someone else...
  10. TK6294 speaks the truth. I wouldn't recommend anything other than this setup. There is no better amps out there, and the mic is actually pretty good, though I plan on using a throat mic instead. Save up your cash and go with TK6294's one.
  11. There is going to be another armor called AM which will replace the FX style suit if your willing to wait a bit... It will be more accurate than the FX, but otherwise will have the same characteristics. ATA is more accurate than both though.
  12. I don't have it, but I have this one... It's the menu sound from republic commando game. Radio_Chatter_1.wav
  13. Should have flipped the pic horizontally.
  14. By blaster sound you mean only the shot and not the louder noise it makes as an alternate noise? I would think its in the soundchip itself... If money is not an object I can point you out to a few websites that will let you put any sound you want with your blaster...
  15. Don't waste your money. Take the time to do research.
  16. Panda is right, unless you spend top dollar on a throat mic, then it's not worth getting a throat mic. I bought a $150 dollar one but I can't give you a review on it yet as they sent me the wrong adapter for it. I had a cheap one from radioshack a long time ago and it sucked.
  17. My friend has a heatgun and I have a small iron meant for plastic. Be careful with the heatguns, it can ruin armor easily. Have a towel ready dipped in cold or icy water to hold up against the armor to stop any warping to the plastic.
  18. Looks like you had fun! Indeed the FX helmet you saw is is big as it gets. The accurate sized helmets would suit you better. Mine is small, I can barely fit my head through it. Is your guy planning on going stormtrooper or Vader (or something else perhaps?)
  19. One thing people might not realize, is that Matt is Bi-Polar. He has his good and bad times. Fortunately I met him on his good side, and he treated me to a private lap dance at a strip club
  20. Republic Commandos armor fits nicely over our larger troopers... Go commando!
  21. What do you mean by JK? Just kidding? or are those your initials?
