  1. Thanks! I'd like to see that calendar sometime.
  2. Congratulations again! Taking Wisconsin to a whole new level! I can't wait to troop with you sometime!
  3. Bought an RT-Mod helmet in November and it's a great match for FX armor made three years ago.
  4. Your helmet might come with bumps on the ears. I just bought two helmets from him in November, and one had bumps and one didn't. I know he said he's made some changes to the helmet recently, so I assume the bumpier ears are newer, but I don't know for sure. I haven't talked to him since then. After peeling off the stickers, I painted my non-bumpy ears and then used a pencil to draw "shadows" around where the bumps should be. Between that and painting one or two black "bumps," it won't be very noticeable if you get the non-bumpy ears. Non-bumpy ear (before weathering the helmet) with original sticker applied ... Non-bumpy ear with sticker removed, then painted and drawn on (you could do a better job painting the black than I did, I actually didn't have any time before a troop and drew it on with a Sharpie, I'll redo it later)...
  5. I've heard a lot of great things about AM armor, but nothing new about the helmet. I might be wrong, but if it's still the same FX helmet we all know, most people would tell you to get something else. Or maybe I've just missed the new info about the new helmet, if there is any?
  6. ... "take a pair of white silk bikini underwear" ... AHHHH! MY EYES!
  7. Okay, so basically any 501st approved clean Stormtrooper can consider themselves a member of the FISD detachment once registered here. Got it. I'm researching for my friend, a 501st stormtrooper who just doesn't have as much free time to poke around on the internet as I do. Thanks for the info!
  8. At the MEPD, they have a pretty clear-cut list of things one must do to their armor that are above and beyond the 501st requirements for a sandtrooper - IF you want to become a "deployed" member of the MEPD. I'm trying to figure out the equivalent of that here. I see the EIB requirements are "not required for members of this detachment." Are the CRL requirements the things one must do to be a member of the FISD - above and beyond becoming a 501st stormtrooper - or is there specifically no such thing? I see a list of "Expert Infantrymen" but not a list of other FISD members (besides forum members).
  9. I was just reading the CRL requirements and it said ANH stunt helmets should have three screws on each side. I don't think I've ever seen a picture (from the movie) of a helmet with three screws per side. Can someone point me to one or some? Wait - is the "third" screw the one way at the bottom of the ear cover?
  10. The ear caps and slope of the face don't look like RT-Mod. But the price is already higher than an RT-Mod kit.
  11. Yep - right over the mouth so they can suck in fresh air and blow it right at your nose and mouth: --------
  12. What kind of helmet do you have? I have the same problem for two reasons: 1) I'm "barrel-chested" (i.e., ov erweight) 2) The FX helmet is way oversized, especially the "chins."
  13. I received my 501st membership approval today: http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember...cfm?userID=8656 Thank you for updating my status whenever you can.
