  1. I love the hdpe colour showing through, you have encapsulated the esb look well.... awesome job
  2. If you need a belt and a set of strap let me know
  3. You have some nice stuff there Nate
  4. Everything looks to be in order although you have not shown any close up pics of your blaster. I would also suggest putting full size pics in the thread and not thumb nails as no matter what i do they dont come out full size for me and everything has jagged edges.
  5. Ok somethings you are aware of and some things have been pointed out but i noticed.. The shoulder bells could do with being closer to the shoulder bridges and further forward. Your canvas belt looks to be a little thin, it looks 2 inches wide where it wants to be 3 inches wide. The drop boxes straps are too low and need to be attatched near the end of the plastic amo belt part. The way you have closed the side gaps looks a little messy. Im guessing you have used the old plastic belt. I would suggest a single piece of whatever your using to neaten things up. The td is on up side down. Blaster needs some attention. These are miner tweaks needed to make your armour look the best. Keep up the good work.
  6. Great tutorial there Steve and fantastic holsters too
  7. The eyes look much better Leigh, nice job.
  8. Hi Jonathan take a look around, you nver know what may be lurking in the junk yard
  9. Whats with those bikers, cant they stay on their feet for any length of time without flling over
  10. Nice 1 bill
  11. No not really but i know what you are saying. Sometimes when marking where to put the snaps and then adding the hole and then the snap it can move a little from where you wanted it. If they keep popping undone you can put a little hot glue in the snap to hold it in place. I do this to any snap that i dont want to undo while trooping but can get them apart if needed.
  12. Great now get cracking becuase we really wanna see some pictures..
  13. Ok if you mean is the style aceptable then yes thats what the boots should look like, just be sure you are getting adult boots..
  14. They look fine but i think they are childs boots judging by the sizes avaiable..
  15. To me, the FISD IS the armour team
  16. I knew if he was in anh you would have seen him paul, thanks mate
  17. Yes tom i have made belts using multiple layers of canvas just like the originals but did not like the out come. They were messy and not even and didnt look as good as my way using the elastic as a base to work from. The great thing about doing them my way is that when you sew along the edge of the elastic you get a near perfect straight line and then when you trim the other side and sew that part, again you have a nice neat line to follow. But if you want to try the screen used way and it turns out great then thats fine too. I remember there should be 5 layers if your going that route. Cheers mark.
  18. I think anything inbetween 0 and 16 would be deemed accurate
  19. Im looking for some reference photo's incorporating the trooper here in the middle. This picture is from the esb era and im interested if anyone has seen this trooper with the upside down ab plate buttons in anh. We know that the original anh trooper armour was reused for esb so somewhere there should be a screen cap or picture with this guys ab plate in it, so far i have not been able to find it.. He does appear in the esb promo pics holding up Carrie Fisher and im geussing that this suit was copied by Bermans & Nathans to make to jedi suits.. Heres the guy im talking about, any help finding more pictures will be greatly appreciated
  20. I was also on the look out for some deep clamps for glueing my thighs and shins but was unable to find any. In the end i just made do without them. I made sure i keyed the area which needed to be glued and used a thin covering of E6000 on each part and then put them together using small clamps at each end and used blue painters tape to hold the middle together while the glue dried. I have had no problems at all by using this method and saved myself a few quid on clamps that were destined to be used only a handfull of times.
  21. My FX armour is mainly held together with velcro... The forearms and biceps are glued in the front and velcro at the back and the legs are all finished off with velcro. I may go back and glue all the front parts now when i do some maintenance this month. But after 2 + years of trooping it still hold together well. My TE2 is all glued, front and back. No velcro anywhere apart from on the back of the canvas belt
  22. I cut underneath where the belt sits and added a couple of inches to raise the belt to my middle. You cannot see the mod under the belt. It also stopped the chest plate getting stuck under the ab plate.
  23. You will find that the more you get into the hobby and the more you wear your armour and mix with other troopers you will always find something to modify.. I have done the following to my armour although not all mods may be visible.. Change the helmet, replaced the shoulder bells, reshapped the bicep cut out on the inside to square, smaller ab plate buttons, modified the ab plate to raise the belt from my hips to around my middle, latex hand plates on rubber gloves. Cut the butt plate from the kidney plate ( not visible ) reshapped the thigh pack ( not visiable ). --------------
  24. I think i read about this on the rpf somewhere or was the mepd? So we know they are there to hold the bicep up but can we take this for granted that there was no other way to hold up the biceps on these suits? Meaning no strap inside the shoulder bell on any of the armour. There are plenty of pictures showing the biceps riding low at the elbow so whats the opinion?
  25. Cool so far ive been working slowly putting mine together and have the arms all done and hope to work on the legs soon. I have all the body parts trimmed and have done a little shaping. Im hoping to have mine ready for the O2 gig next month.. Be sure to post up pics of what you have been doing please.
