  1. I now have this image of you Paul in your armour bouncing on the trampoline, lol
  2. It depends on what you use for padding the inside of the helmet. I typically use the star shapped foam and with only that, the helmet can wobble a little, a chin strap sorts that out nicely. If you use 3/4 inch elastic and dont have it too tight, it should be fine
  3. Hey pablo i have jusy been viewing your pics mate, great suit and the photos look stunning well done mate
  4. Hi Derek i have sent you an email and pm mate

Hi luke i can get on the main garrison board but the forum seems to be down
  6. I think i said in another thread this is going to be huge on you if you are only 5'4 tall, i think a smaller more accurate size helmet would suit you better. But i will let you be the judge on that one
  7. It looks like you did take a lot out of the back.. why did you do this as you look fairly tall i dont think you would of had any trouble with mobility? As to clearance that will be down to your gml, have you asked for any help at your local garrison? If you want some replacements, try to find tuperware tk on here
  8. Thanks for the clarification on this paul
  9. I am currently working on upgrading both my esb and anh costumes at present, so i may apply for eib status again. Does the same member having more than 1 eib status count as more eib cleared troopers?
  10. Ok can you share the email address with us please?
  11. When i click on mine i get the following msg, after the details of my current subscription..
  12. Paul can you pay again after subscribing once here? If not i will pp you direct, cheers fbj
  13. I dont know about the laws suit as it fresh out and we are waiting to see a fully assembled set as of yet.. But AP and TE2 will both fit you, as you are a nice size. I know that the TE2 set comes with more plastic to trim off than the AP set where the parts are butt joint together which helps out the guys with slightly bigger limbs
  14. Something tells me that your new armour will be nothing short of amazing, i look forward to seeing that rolf Thanks Andy the bribe will be in the post tomoro
  15. Hi you said in your other thread you are about 5'4, is that so? I would beware of buying an fx lid as they are around 15% larger than a screen accurate lid and are more suited to the larger ( six foot plus ) trooper or those who have to wear glasses. Those smaller than that tend to look a bit like this, not a good look ----------
  16. If your a small dude, the fx and rt mod armour will drown you, they are made for the taller bigger trooper in mind. Someone of your stature will better suit the more screen accurate sized armour out there but i think you will still need to modify this so that you can tackle simple trooping tasks such as stairs and walking. Typically you will need to trim down the legs and maybe even arms to be able to move easily. When the other guys here say do some reading they are not being rude, most of the info can be easily found here to answer your Q?s. I would still advise you to take some time to have a read through the various build threads and get an idea of how things go together. And also take into consideration that not only will your body size effect what kit you should buy, accuracy, price and difficulty of assembly should also be looked into. As a rule i would advise getting new armour so you can easily tailor make it to fit you, buying second hand is not always the easiest path...
  17. Thank you all for the kind words, now back to your posts troopers
  18. I aggree with the others, smells like RT Mod to me
  19. It has been well documented that the screen used costumes had canvas belts. This has been confirmed by people who have been into the lucas archives. They were made from several layers of plain canvas sewn together and then they used shoe whitener to give them the white colour. In the scenes of luke in the trash compactor you see the colour runs from lukes belt and hense the rough looking belt seen in the luke promo pictures. I have seen pictures of these belts in the archives and if i can get them from my old desktop i will post them for everyone to see. Maybe leather was used, maybe it was not. The fact of the matter is we have seen pictures confirming canvas and as yet i have not seen anything proving the use of leather.
  20. As your going fx it wont need any trimming, so thats a great start. I normally start on the arms and then work through the body and then dowm towards the legs and then at the end do all the fidely final peices like belt and thermal detonator and anything else that needs doing. And then the helmet, and leave the strapping til last.
  21. How big do you think you need i have a few D rings laying about somewhere, i may have something you could use..
  22. HI kevin i used the tarrago shoe dye that i got from fleabay but am not impressed. I have dyed a pair of chelsea boots myself recently and didnt think much of it.
  23. I am like Billy, i just use a star shape of foam, no fuss.
