  1. Hey G4 is was great to finally meet you and troop together at the NSC Now where is the expert infantry application??
  2. I always troop in rubber gloves and have no probs over the last 2 years doing so
  3. Nice lid, i was wondering if this was one of matt's new jedi lids too?
  4. That is so funny / cool. The post film, pre production AA prototype helmet, lol
  5. I didnt take proper side angle pics of all the helmets, some were on the scew but here are the right hand side comparison shots.. Dan Laws, TE hero, TE2, TE2 and TE hdpe
  6. As far as i know Paul the TE abs hero i have is from Matt' set for stun molds. Which is the dave m helmet, the same base of the DL helmet? I have spoken to Matt about how he gets the hero look from using a stunt helmet as a base and he has told me that he under cooks the plastic so it makes the face wider and also so that the forth tooth is not so visible. The TE is also a slightly thinner plastic being 0.060 i dont know what the DL is maybe 0.080?, it is thin but not as thin as the TE. I have just done some simple measurements and the TE is ever so slightly smaller, like 2-3 mm. So although it is very close, it is actually smaller.
  7. Ok hold onto your lids guys, here are some comparison shots.. I took them all front roughly the same distance and zoom. First face shots Dan Laws TE hero TM hero TE2 anh stunt TE2 esb stunt TE hdpe sandy
  8. Free post!
  9. Depending on how accurate you want to go, you could get away with screen derived suits like TE2, AP or maybe go with RT which is made with the taller / bigger trooper in mind or even a nice set of TM. Take a look around and im sure you will see that most armour makes can be made to fit the tall trooper, good luck
  10. Hey it is funny to put this new helmet next to the TE and TE2 and you can see what is similar and what is really different about these helmets. Like brothers that have the same chin but different nose etc.. I am very happy to have this helmet in my collection
  11. Ok recently i was lucky to get hold of a new DL tk helmet from my good buddy Rolf aka TD 252. He did an awesome job building and detailing the helmet, my hat goes off to him Anyway here are some pics of my new family member getting to know his brothers here with me, more pics to follow..
  12. I use news paper, the rubber neck or brow trim is good also.. any artist pastel should do the job.
  13. Great looking armour indeed
  14. Hey pete it was nice to finally meet you today.. Nice work on the armour, i look forward to seeing you on a troop soon
  15. Great i look forward to seeing your progress.
  16. Thats thick, especially for a helmet
  17. Next time billy i shall try to push you down the stairs!! in a nice way If anyone has ever seen me de-kit i throw my gear all over the floor, and do not reach for the mr sheen
  18. Ha people like to point out all the time that my holster is on the wrong side and that it shoud be rivited to the belt... Then i tell them i am an ESB trooper!! Ps i always wear rubber gloves and the latex handplates (when anh) whilst trooping, there great pps i will have to look at your gear again Billy as it looked rather prestine to me, not nearly enough scuff marks or scrathes
  19. Thanks guys i didnt trim the eyes at all, this was a Mike special ...its certainly been around the houses hey Nate?
  20. I got this in a trade a while back and spent the last few days detailing it before it goes out with the rest of my TE2 armour. I went for sloppy stunt..
  21. I aggre with Terrell here that the inner S trim section looks to be removed giving the trim a squarer U shape look to it. I have trimmed some S trim like that and it looks to be how the movie lids may have been done. The outcome was fairly similar.
  22. No, what are we looking for here Billy. ps nice to finally meet and troop with you at the SWMJ on sat night
  23. Try searching the threads for tutorials on helmet building by TK4510, they are usually pretty intensive guides to building great looking lids.. There is plenty of hints and tips to building helmets on here..
  24. May the 10th? You need it ready for May the forth (be with you) .... International StarWars day
