  1. Ok so far the TM hero helmet does not have this bump. The only TM helmet that seems to have this bump is the stunt version. So the stunt version is lumpy like the screen used stunt helmets, and then his hero version is cleaned up like the cleaned up hero screen used helmets. How hard would it be to have 2 sets of molds with each version. If you can see the difference in the screen used helmets with such a large media coverage of the screen used helmets and the availbel helmets derived from sich an utem, it would not be too hard or imaginable to add these details to a set of molds. There are a few really easy to spot differences between the TM helmet that i own and other cast from screen used helmets in my collection. So i stand by what i have been saying, that detail next to the vocoda in not present on my TM helmet. Better pics to follow when lighting allows.
  2. Ok i shall take some pictures tomoro during daylight and post them and we shall see if im biased or not.
  3. I have a TM helmet right in front of me and that detail is not present on my helmet. How do you account for that?
  4. Thanks mate Thanks Paul, the inside is just a star shaped piece of foam...
  5. I dont care if you dont like me, this helmet or TM. Your comments have nothing to do with my thread. This is a show off thread, not an armour history lesson. 7. I concur!
  8. That looks much better Steve, if you like the bump then leave it as is. We all know the AP is a little over exagerated but that looks good. If you trim them much more you will most likely loose that detail all together.
  9. Nice work Steve, i look forward to trooping again with you soon
  10. I had been looking out for a TM hero helmet for most of last year and in december i finally snagged a raw kit, cool 8) I didnt really get a chance to put it together over the holidays as i wanted as i was always too busy helping myself to another mince pie or glass or sherry, hic, so i have only just got around to getting it done. I already have a couple of low brow hero helmets so i decided to go for the slightly higher version as seen on Han. Although saying that i have not tried to replicate that particular helmet in the details but i just went with what i felt like at the time of building.. I also want to use this for troops which will explain the flat green lenses. I find bubble lenses give me terrible headaches and you cant see a thing with them iether! I found the ears quite challenging with no trim lines, so thanks to Paul for the tips, im not sure if im 100% done with them yet.. All hand painted details and i have decided to use Mike's dave m style tube strips. So this is a 15-16er..
  11. Hi John im glad this helped you with your belt. I find there are 2 types of camping snap, some with long posts and some with a shorter post that will go through everything if you pinch it all up really tight. Cheers fbj
  12. Sorry for the off topic but i have a bumpy b+c TE and the forehead has the mold damage but it is quite faint and not as pronounced as that which you will find on the TE2 nowadays.
  13. Hi Mike thanks for sorting this out i will take a few sets from you when the time comes, great work.
  14. I think you can get 2 sizes of holster, accurate size for a real sterling and a bigger more suited to the oversize of the hasbro blaster toy
  15. Everything looks in order, we will just carry on with the pleasantries until Scott makes an appearance. Like the 5 string bass.. Oh i think that your armour is an AP kit, more than i do a GF.
  16. I think if your going the ESB route with this helmet you need to use decals for the tube stripes, all the traps and only paint the frown, vocoda and ears. Is the base player going to wear this at gigs?
  17. Well done on getting cleared with the UKG Colin.. The only thing i notice is we need to see a pic of your split butt (no jokes please) apart from that all looks well.
  18. Plain natural or bleached white canvas are both accepted for FISD Elite status
  19. I think i waited about 2 years before i could get to register over there, i think they open for registrationion more regular these days..
  20. Just look up some screen grabs or visit sw helmets dot com for some ref pics and go for it... the screen used stuff was pretty messy anyways so you cant go wrong
  21. Afiak replacment ammo belt from AA is in the region of £130 ?? anyone clarify? A bit on the expensive side for a quick replacement. Maybe cheaper to get one from AP or TE2 and keep this original set up too..
  22. Yep i think bill got all the details in that i noticed.. Added t track and d ring for blaster. And the belt set up is all wrong.. Get those fixed and i think you will be set for elite as everything else looks okay to me.
  23. Well done paul, thanks for making this the place it is today
