It looks pretty good to be honest and with the adjustments you are planning, it will look great. If they used E6000 to assemble it, it shouldn’t be too hard to fix the leg and arm pieces. If they used CA glue, it could be a bit tougher.
That is correct, you get basic approval to then apply for Expert Infantry, then you can use the Expert Infantry approval to apply for Centurion

Glad to hear you are considering a stormtrooper costume. I am 5’10” as well and about 215 pounds and went with the AP kit as it is bigger in the abdomen and accommodated my build well.
One thing to consider with the plastidip spray is that if you spray it on at the beginning, you will need to sand it off in areas where strapping will be attached.
