Troop 49 Niagara Falls , Ontario April 6, 2024 Niagara Falls pre Eclipse Party This was a Star Wars themed pre eclipse party put on by the City of Niagara Falls. We were asked to be there to interact and take photos with guests. Unfortunately the event was not well attended and only 20 to 30 guests came. We still had a great time dancing away in our costumes. Pre event group shot Obligatory elevator selfie There was an odd pole in the middle of the room we used to change. So I had to try it out. Got a bunch of credits for my effort from the FOTK in the back. Had to also grab a photo with my new transport vehicle. They said the barrel ride was completely safe. Not so sure

My first issue perplexing me was the fit of my biceps. When I asked for help, I was gently and politely told that they were on upside down. Everyone here wants to see you succeed.

I ordered mine 13 months ago. I spoke with him in the new year and mine is apparently in the next wave. He has had a lot of issues sourcing the electronics and basically had to start over with his suppliers. You can reach out to him on Facebook. If he doesn’t reply, reach out again. He gets lots of messages and sometimes loses them

Hi Tim. Glen is correct in that the gap should be filled to create a smooth surface from the outside. You can use Sugru (https://sugru.com) or make some ABS paste with scrap trimmings from your kit to fill the gap. Please let me know if you have any other questions

Honestly, I am almost to 50 troops and I still have the biggest goofy kid grin under the helmet the entire time. Trust me we do get how you feel.

Welcome to the FISD. congratulations on your decision to build a stormtrooper costume and aiming for centurion from the start is a great plan. with respect to preteimmed kits from AP, Mark is an experienced armourer and you should have no problems. I got my AP kit raw and rather enjoyed the trimming process as it helped me to learn more about the build along the way. It’s odd that he doesn’t have any non trimmed sets. Looking forward do following your build.

Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. The angle of screws should ideally line up with the back of the trap. The left side is pretty close , but the right is just a bit off. References The shoulder straps are floating a bit in the back. This should be an easy fix with a hot water bath. References Your left thigh is sitting a bit high when compared with the right side and will likely cause armour bite where it meets the cod piece. This is likely more of a strapping issue and should be an easy fix. The sniper knee plate may need to be shifted forward to make room once the thigh is lowered. This may be achieved with some padding at the top front portion of the shin armour. May also want to trim off the top of the front cover strips on the thighs as they will dig into the upper leg when walking. References *************************************************** Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Your right shoulder bell distance from the shoulder strap is perfect, the left could be moved in a bit. This can be corrected with a slightly shorter strap or by moving the snap further in on the shoulder bridge L3 CRL: There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armour and the chest/back plates References Fill in gap at bottom of rear of the right thigh. You can use Sugru or ABS paste for this L3 CRL: Lower thigh ridge joins (front and rear) shall butt-up flush against each other. Any gaps must be backed with ABS or filled as not to be noticeable. References Your ammo belt should be brought up slightly to sit at the bottom of the lowest blue button. This can be corrected with a bit of Velcro to hold the belt in place. L3 CRL: The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels. References

Troop 48 Toronto , Ontario March 17, 2024 Toronto Comicon 2024 Day 3 This was the final day of the con and was again a lot of fun despite being exhausted and sore. We were visited at the booth by Roger Christian (Set decorator Episode 4 , Second Unit Director Episode 1 and 7). Always great to see Roger. He is very down to earth and loves to share his stories. Total donations raised for Make A Wish were around $5,500.

Troop 47 Toronto , Ontario March 16, 2024 Toronto Comicon 2024 Day 2 Day 2 started bright and early and was again a very fun day. We were visited by Denis Lawson (Wedge Antilles), Eman Esfandi (Esra Bridger - Ahsoka ) and Diana Lee Inosanto (Morgan Elisabeth - Ahsoka). All were amazing,y friendly and excited to visit us at the booth. My son also trooped with me in his scout costume.

Troop 46 Toronto , Ontario March 15, 2024 Toronto Comicon 2024 Day 1 This was the first of a 3 day troop and my first troop at a con as part of the garrison command staff. It was fun to see things from the organization side of the con as well. We had a great auction with 3 lightsabers, a citizen Star Wars watch, 6 Rsvlts Star Wars shirts and many other items thanks to generous donations from vendors. I didn’t manage many photos this day but served as a target for blast a trooper.

Nice job on the patching - I don't think it will be noticeable from a few feet away. The fine line on the paint is tricky, you can clean it up slightly with a toothpick dipped in mineral spirits (just DO NOT USE acetone)

One thing that I am noticing in the photo of your belt is that the canvas belt appears to not be lining up with the 45 degree cut outs on the corners of the ABS belt. It could just be a perspective issue on the photo if the canvas belt has dropped away from the ABS one. If you are aiming for Centurion, then you may need to trim the corners a bit as shown below. L3 CRL: "The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt." Reference photo
