Welcome Momo! I, too, am located in Georgia, though further north right outside Chattanooga, TN. You’ve definitely come to the right place for your Stormtrooper build, and below is a link to an excellent FOTK build thread. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/48822-merkava74s-tfa-fotk-build-thread-anovos/ Definitely post lots of photos and ask lots of questions, and we’ll all get you through the build journey! Sounds like we now know what you’ll be doing every year on that annual trip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wondered this myself when I first read it the day you posted, and through context figured you perhaps accidentally left out the “not.” But since I’m no expert on the matter I figured I’d leave corrections to you pros. =) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Personally, I use Flickr, which has worked well for my needs. Currently they have a limit of 1,000 images for free accounts, which should be enough for most builds. I agree with the others that it’d be helpful to refrain from deleting images from prior posts, as that history (and helpful references) would then be gone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PainterPanther’s ANH Stunt Build
MaskedVengeance replied to PainterPanther's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
Welcome to the club, and congrats on your BBB day! Very exciting! For some reason I’m not seeing your actual images embedded here, and instead only see a web link. You may try checking out the how to post on imgur thread, which I believe I have linked in my All-In-One TK resource thread. I’d paste the direct link here myself, except I don’t have access to it at this time. But here is my resource thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/49412-all-in-one-tk-anh-stunt-index-of-resources-by-maskedvengeance/ Keep the photos and updates coming, and we’ll be here to help you on your journey! JeklynHyde's RS Prop Masters, ANH Stunt Build
MaskedVengeance replied to Jeklynhyde's topic in ANH Build Threads
Holy goodness this is some dedication. And I thought my new project of compiling certain build threads into PDF form was time-consuming! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Totally understand about the front outer cover strip. What you could first try is keeping the standard front outer strip, but use a wider INNER (touching your actual leg) cover strip. That way you could main some mm space by not having the two though piece edges actually touch each other. The purpose of having an inner cover strip in this situation would be to provide a proper surface for adhesion. Here’s a really rough illustration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think you're right about the thighs coming up a little bit more. Have you tried also spacing the two thigh pieces a bit at the front, beneath your front cover strip? The two edges don't necessarily need to be touching, especially if you add a wider inner cover strip to span the gap. I thought @justjoseph63 had a thread and illustrations about this, but I can't locate it at this time. However, here's one that is also very good for something like what you're needing. Hope it helps!

Greetings Troopers! With this thread being one of my top builds for referencing I thought I would compile it into a downloadable/printable PDF document. The Table of Contents is clickable—scrolling the document straight to the selected section—at least on a computer, and each main thread entry has a URL link straight back to the web posting. Also included are AJ's Pre-Approval, EI, and Centurion submissions, so the full scope of his armor build process could be documented and seen in one place. I've already shared the PDF file with AJ, but below is the link for all of you to have. AJ's O.F. AM TK Build https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kXZnv64H9fERK9rwoCWrDxKVy_71ovbU/view?usp=sharing Bonus! For my All-In-One TK reference thread I had also created a PDF document of AJ's reinforced shoulder bridge thread, which is linked below. I hope some of you will find AJ's threads as helpful as I have, and that these documents will add additional value to his work! I’m shooting for EIB number 1138, which will likely be in two or three years. [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Experience in cutting abs with scissors?
MaskedVengeance replied to Muhobi's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
Greetings! “Lexan” scissors are what you want for cutting ABS. Some also use tin snips, but they are larger and less maneuverable. Having both curved and straight lexan scissors will greatly help you with ABS trimming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hello from Mansfield, Texas
MaskedVengeance replied to darkknight6768's topic in New Member Introductions
Welcome, Frank! I'm sorry to hear you'll need to make those adjustments to your ANOVOS armor, but you'll have plenty of support here on FISD, and I'm sure you'll make a fine stormtrooper! Ukswrath has a legendary ANOVOS build thread which you may find helpful, so I've linked it below. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build-stunt By the way, what part of Texas are you from? I consider myself as having grown up in Amarillo, but I also have family in San Antonio and the Dallas area. -
Erinatron WTF ANH Stunt Shorty Build
MaskedVengeance replied to erinatron's topic in ANH Build Threads
Welcome, Erina! You're definitely on the right track with Christine's and ShaSha's builds! If you hadn't already found it, here is a link to resources I spent the past eight months collecting and bookmarking, like you. Hopefully it can be of help! -
Hi Gavin, and welcome! I'm looking forward to following along on your dueling TK builds with your father!

Cadet #2025 (Stephanie) Build thread!
MaskedVengeance replied to Echo3_Skywalker's topic in ANH Build Threads
Hi Stephanie! So excited for you and your BBB day! I remember the feeling when I had mine. As for the lens, if you’re going for a Hero build and need bubbles lenses, the flat lens material will not work as-is. I’ve been building a Stunt myself, but I’m sure somebody will come around with more information on how to get bubble lenses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I’ll be able to say “I was there, but then COVID happened and I had to sell my incomplete TK armor.” Hopefully in the next several years I’ll be able to save back up to repurchase and get into the first 1k Centurions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Joseph has a technique of using washable makeup which might work too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe most people have somewhere around half an inch of space, but of course it varies. You could definitely do tapered cuts if there are no raised edges to worry about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some Troopers do utilize padding inside limb pieces to keep them from shifting, and if you’ve already gotten the cover strips down to the 15mm width, then there’d not be any more room to trim. The hot water bath should also help with shape, and some even recommend doing a bath after all gluing anyway, to help release any tension that may exist from pulling two pieces together into a butt-joint. Welcome, Matt! You should definitely get a TK kit so you can build alongside your wife! A couple that troops together stays together! Haha. You're definitely in the right place for assistance with the build! Start up a build thread, post lots of photos, and ask lots of questions, and help will flood your way! I'm sure you've already seen it, but this link below is a great place to start! https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/38-getting-started-read-this-first/
