  1. You’ll likely find that there would be more “storage” room inside your chest or back plates than in your TD. Some Troopers Mount their speaker system in their chest, and others also hang a pouch with a lanyard from their neck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Y’all need to get an OZ DO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Every morning I wake up wondering if today will be the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Congrats, David! You made it into the first 1k! That looks like a Hellhounds rubber E-11, which Daniel initially distributed via Trooperbay. I got mine during the Christmas sale. How do you like yours? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Eeek! The anticipation is just like a SW movie premiere! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Welcome Bryan! Lubbock - No way! I grew up in Amarillo! We would’ve practically been neighbors in the middle-of-nowhere Panhandle Texas. Congrats on your progress with your health goals! Keep up the good work on that front! As Mario said, check out the Getting Started thread! We’ll be here along your journey to encourage and help you out, with both your build and your health goals! 7. Welcome to FISD! You’re in the right place for TK armor, and it sounds like you’ll not have any trouble with the build, based on your experience. Awesome photos, btw. You likely already came across it, but AJ Hamler’s AM build is an excellent one to follow, with great documentation and photos. I don’t have access to a direct link at the moment, but the thread is included on my All-In-One TK Reference thread linked to in my signature. I even compiled a PDF of AJ’s thread since I liked it so much, also linked on my Index thread. As for your question about the brow trim, you’ll find that the screen-used suits had their trim ending all over the place. Some do like the clean cut angled at the back of the traps, but others are straight vertical and not quite to the ends. Hope this helps, and welcome again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I haven’t seen that happen before, but I do only have less than a year of experience on the forum. If the ridges are also visible on the inside of the pieces (raised on that side), I wonder if you might try pressing them out from the inside, perhaps after another hot water bath. 9. Hello there, Wayne! Welcome to FISD! You’re on the right track working with Justin; he’s the man! I actually got my strapping kit from him, and he’s been super helpful with my ANH Stunt build. As Mario said, the Getting Started is a great place to begin, and you’ll have all of us here helping you along the way! And of course SoCal is a hotspot for Legion members. Again, welcome! 10. Welcome, Matt! Great story and congrats on your recent marriage! You definitely can’t go wrong with RS, and you’ll find all the help you need for assembly here with FISD. Be sure to start a build threat and post of photos of your BBB day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. SWEET. Nothing else need be said. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Stay on target... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I suspect that one of our IT guys is likely labeled as our Star Wars guy, considering two of them also have SW figures all over their cubicles, but at least this was me on Ep. IX premiere day: I know, it’s only a Black Series bucket, but I was only one month into my build that day exactly, so it’s all I had. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Great progress, Rob! In regards to the knee mobility cuts, I would wait until you can fully kit up before making any such cuts. That way you can figure out exactly how much to take off, if any. If you do eventually make them, be sure not to extend the cutouts past the ridges area. As for the Stunt vs Hero question, as previously mentioned, you’d need to make some pretty heavy mods to your helmet to go Hero (new ears, different lenses, completely repainted frown and two filled-in teeth holes). As for basic vs EI vs Centurion, since you’re still in the process of building, you might as well aim for Level 3 (Centurion). It really doesn’t cost any more money, except for purchasing flexible hand guards (another Joseph purchase I would highly recommend), and you need a good enough blaster. It’s really just about the fine details such as river locations, minimizing gaps, and securing proper alignment and proportions. You can totally do that! Keep up the great work! 15. Ross with RWA also has an active Facebook group, in case you want additional reassurance. I’m sure you can’t go wrong with either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Welcome, Ian! Excellent choice going with the ESB variant, as it will be more unique than the very common ANH, and RS Props is definitely going to get you an AMAZING kit. Continue that research, start a build thread and post lots of photos and questions, and you’ll be well on your way! Troopers will be here to help you on the entire journey! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Welcome to FISD, Craig! You’re in the right place for building your very own Stormtrooper kit. You’re also on the right track with an RS Props suit, as they are AS AUTHENTIC as they come. SDS markets themselves as the originators, but if you dig deep in these forums you’ll find more about the infamous AA. I’ll leave it at that. As you’ve already found, most Garrisons and/or Squads have their own web pages or Facebook groups where you can get in touch with local squad members. Some of the staff here might also be able to connect you with squad members who are active on here. I look forward to following along with your progress once you start your own build thread! I have an compilation of TK build resources in my signature which might be helpful to you. Again, welcome!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Congrats, and well done on the hard work! 991 baby! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Seven years ago today, TO-THE-DATE, Alexey posted this excellent ATA helmet build tutorial, and I can finally check this off on my PDF conversion to-do list. LINKED HERE is a 21-page PDF which includes a clickable table of contents, when viewed in a PDF reader or on a tablet, and all of Alexey's content and most of the other comments. If builders elect to print this document, it is sized for US letter paper. This AWESOME tutorial thread is also linked to in my All-In-One Resource Compilation thread, should any other ATA builder need additional resources and links to other great ATA build threads.
  20. Personally I’m shooting for #1138 ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. It does seem like apps slowed since the upper teens. Could be that Troopers who expedited their builds have now all been approved and we’re back to the normal pace of submissions. When I joined the boards nine months ago the average was about five approvals per month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Not to get too far side-tracked from the original purpose of the thread, but you'll be interested in the link below, John. =) https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/39650-anh-paint-colour-guide/
  23. You got this, Bryan! Just a few more steps and you’ll be in the first 1,000 and on your way to L3! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Triple L3 for that armor in the near future too.
  25. Printable/downloadable PDF file of this thread available here for ease-of-use on tablets or in physical reference folders. Another great bucket-related thread from CableGuy!
