  3. Welcome to the Legion Trooper. enjoy being a Bad Guy Doing Good.
  4. Hi, You can trim your Ab and Kidney plates a bit , If It was my case, what I should do first is: 1- to mark the cut lines in both sides of each plate. 2- make a new test fit, but this time overlapping the plates to the marked lines and see how things fit together. 3- If necessary, trim the Butt Plate too to match . The following chart from Christine "Cricket " could be useful for you to have an idea. Also you can post some photos before any cut to receive some opinions I have made this a couple of times and have no issues. Cheers.
  5. Great to know you have trimmed the forearms edges. and excellent work on those thighs and shins and thighs!! An Yes! we never have enough magnets and clamps.
  6. Granted by Gazmosis , Is he still around?
  7. Hi Dom, Welcome to FISD, Great to read you both are in the same mission together. Feel free to ask questions, post tons of photos and our saying here for new builders is " Measure twice or more, read the CRL, check the reference photos, cut and glue just once" looking forward for your advances and questions. We are Here to Help. This Anovos Build could be so useful take a look. Cheers
Saludos Hi Nora, Thank you for your EIB application, one of us will be with you shortly. Meanwhile we need you to paint your TD screws in Black color please. As per the CRl States for level 2: CRL: Clips shall be attached with slotted type, flat or dome top style screws, and be black Cheers

  10. Congratulations Martyn, great story! enjoy being a Bad Guy Doing Good
  11. You will need some additional parts to complete the Helmet, take a look to the following links. https://trooperbay.com/costuming-accessories/kits-combos/helmet-builder-basic-combo-set https://trooperbay.com/costuming-accessories/armor-parts/mike-tips Cheers
  12. Yes Scott, this is the core challenge. The Anovos Ab plate has a bend section that appears to be a return edge that is not , while the kidney section do have a marked return edge. This could be tricky and confusing for placing the rivets, Bend section, Nor return edge kidney Return Edge In my opinion, there's still a second option to solve this issue, "the ninja one" Lol. If It was my case and I have enough room in my ab section , I would Trim the bend section (both sides) of the AB plate so the moving the rivets wouldn't be necessary . NOTE: Only if I can keep the NO gap between AB/Kidney . CRL for Level 3: Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor You could try measuring and testing if you have enough room to make the trim. measure carefully prior any cut.
  13. Your EIB badge is waiting for you mate!
  14. 18 spots and counting down . Last approved EIB Scott (TK41469)
  15. Hi Scott, and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. Let's start by the Helmet Mine is an Anovos helmet too and due to they come pre assembled it's not easy to correct the ears screws alignment, It's mentioned here for you to consider for a future fix. Reference Images For a better look, we are suggesting to trimming your small ab button removing the small return edge it has. Reference Images Next, about your TD, the screws on the Screen used , were a bit closer to the ends of the clips, and the ends were squared off, not rounded. Some Anovos armor also come with the TD fully assembled , so I'm simply mentioning it for your information. Reference Images Your belt is just a bit low, so you'll need to raise it . If you look at the reference photos, you'll see that many TKs actually had the belts overlapping the lower ab buttons. A good fix is to add two small strips of velcro to the belt to keep the front from sagging. Reference Images And finally in this section, the outside edges of the drop/boxes will need to align with the outer edges of the ABS belt. Some E-6000 behind the straps in the rear will do the trick. Reference Images *************************************************** Centurion Requirements; In this section we prepare you for Centurion. Because Centurion photos show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. CRL: There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates. Reference Images CRL : A single male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate is present. This is also known as the 'Han snap', and I'm almost sure it's present on your armor, but none of the photos you submitted showed it, so I'm mentioning it here for you to take it in consideration if you plan , as we would like to see, to go for centurion level. Reference Images CRL: Three rivets, approximately 5/16"(8mm) diameter, are present on the left side of the abdomen armor... equally spaced along the depth of the armor and about 10mm from the edge. We have a challenging issue here but we have confidence that you can do it! Unfortunately, the rivets on the ab plate sit too far back from the edge and, for level 3, will need to be moved closer as seen below. The ones on the kidney appear to be farther, but we are taking into account that there is a return edge (as seen by the dotted line) right next to them. They also need to be horizontally aligned. After moving them, the holes can be filled with ABS paste and then sanded/polished. A bit of a task, of course, but we have faith in you! Reference Images *************************************************** That's all Trooper, congratulations again and hope to see your Centurion application soon.
  16. Welcome to FISD. Good luck with your project.

  18. Hi Avery, certainly this cheap kit will be a good start point for your first helmet build. In my opinion, this is the most challenging part of a TK armor build. So, take your time to browse the forum, measure twice or more an cut just one. looking forward for your progress,. by the way, for posting photos most people here use Imgur . in the check this post to learn how to post photos with imgur. NOTE: when posting the photo with imgur instead of using the BBCODE option use Direct Link option . Cheers
  19. Hi Shawn, great work with your arms , remember for level 3, if you haven't done yet, to remove the wrist return edges. The Helmets looks great too Reference image
