Or possibly on purpose? To show the deterioration of discipline in addition to the deterioration of armor. -
Knockerbots AM 5.0 ANH Stunt Build thread
Dielotski replied to Knockerbot's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
4.5 is essentually the helmet version. I was confused at first as well since that is how he refers to the whole kit. The 1.0 vs 2.0 refers to some significant body changes that happened quite a while ago. I'm assuming that the helmet has had more changes than the rest of the kit. So look for 2.0 builds and you'll be good. -
Others on the forums have recommended fasnap. https://fasteners.fasnap.com/viewitems/snap-fasteners---screw-studs/standard-snap-fasteners is what I have purchased and they seem to plenty strong from just creating and testing my snap plates. My kit's not done yet so I can't personally vouch for them while trooping though.

Regarding using wood blocks for helping the shaping of the return edges, Cricket made a jig that she used several times to recreate return edges and to flatten out the creases made from shaping those areas. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41502-crickets-wtf-hero-build-even-more-tk-for-the-vertically-challenged/?do=findComment&comment=592439 -
Matt and James's TK build thread - AM 4.5
Dielotski replied to Sawanator's topic in ANH Build Threads
Basically heat a big pot of water to about 180-190 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the end of whatever your need to reshape into the water for about 30 seconds, remove, form it to the shape you want and then run it under cold water until it's normal temperature again. I have a decent tolerance for heat so a just use rubber gloves to hold and squeeze it. You may need to gradually work your way to the desired shape. I wouldn't get to forceful with it to begin with. And E6000 isn't phased by the heat. -

Regarding the forearms, AM's are kind of wonky. I've lost track of the number of times I've hot water bathed mine. I think I've finally got them to a shape I like. I'm having the the same issues as you with the cover strips. I think I'll look into the white E6000 as well. -

Looks like the gallery for holsters still has the old diagram. -
I hope so! Even if I don't have my kit ready my camera is! Honestly it is fun to even just hang out and take pictures.

Hi Joe, I'm from Bellevue and I'm in the very slow process of assembling an AM kit. If you'd like to take a look at it before you decide on what kit to get, let me know. I've only cut the biceps and forearms to fit so far. The rest has only some return edge removed. -Ray

It will be interesting to see if he'd sell a kit that's compatible with Tino's completion kit. I can't wait till this is available for the public! -

Dielotski's First Build - ANH Stunt [AM]
Dielotski replied to Dielotski's topic in ANH Build Threads
Forearms - Trimming The right forearm has a definite flat spot on both sides of the top piece as seen in the top photo. My thought is to measure down 8mm from there and make my cut. (red arrows on the bottom photo). The bottom piece of the forearm would then be trimmed to fit. The left arm's top piece would be trimmed to the same measurements as the right and then the bottom piece would be trimmed to fit as well. Does this sound like a good plan? -
Dielotski's First Build - ANH Stunt [AM]
Dielotski replied to Dielotski's topic in ANH Build Threads
Forearms - Removing the Return Edges The forearms had a tighter radius than the biceps so I had to make some relieve cuts before using the curved lexan scissors. Files made quick work of the rest. I still need to square off the wrists but that can wait for later.
