Welcome!!! I trooped FX with an SDS lid for a while and it was fine but as Mark says it does somewhat depend on the source of the armour.

Trust me when I say this looks even better in the flesh. Pete your build and Paul's suit- you guys have seriously helped take things to another level. Thank you both for sharing.

Looks pretty good overall, personally I think the new AM is a vast improvement on the original FX. The only minor issue I see is the chest plate seems to be sitting a little high, in one shot it looks as though the ab plate is going to pop out under it. I would lower the chest and at the same time see if I could raise the back, you may even be able to get the back to sit on the kidney as they weer on screen. Just my thoughts.

Pete's suit looks stunning, even better in the flesh. I have also had the good fortune of trying it on and it is so light you hardly feel like you have it on. The paint job is awesome and really makes it look like a screen used suit. Seeing the picture Joe posted ( thanks mate!) the elastic on the right side actually looks like it is six strips, three attached each side, and if that is the case are they likely to be Velcro? It is amazing with the help of the people here in this community how the secrets are all slowly being uncovered, and it is largely down to the likes of Paul , Pete, Joe, Mark and of course all the staff here and many more helping us become better troopers. Totally upholding the ethos of this site, a big thanks to you all!

They need the elastic at the sides for TK boots.

I would say the only problem with them is they are about 1/2 an inch shorter than Caboots so have a tendency to slip out from the shins at the back- if anyone knows or is in touch with the seller perhaps they could mention this as he may be able to address this prior to a new run.

Mine is in my chest also as if you need any sort of volume, like outside, the mic tip speakers just don't go loud enough for me. I use a converted Ipod speaker that is already flat and the perfect shape.
