  1. Dan, congratulations mate that looks awesome!!! Looking forward to trooping with you sometime!
  2. I use the Extreme racing suit- I have three of them and they are excellent! I think the ease of availability in the UK makes them the number one choice for UKG members and in fact they give us a discount- we are the reason they now supply the suits without chest logos!
  3. I 'm lucky enough, being in the UK, to have a great Hyperfirm pimped by Billy- It is a great piece of kit and really looks the part!
  4. Thanks Pete!!! Troopers helping troopers!!!!
  5. Looking good, my only reservations would be the lenses seem to be a little see through on the first helmet and the belt doesn't look right- it looks too flimsy in that the holster is practically pulling it down. I would suggest that maybe you try and re-enforce it, and of course as Mark Says you need more pics with greater detail. I believe Billy was working on a simple EIB application form that would help, PM him and maybe he can let you have all the details, it should help speed things up for you. Good luck with your 501st application I can't imagine youo will have too much trouble there.
  6. Wow thanks mate! Those are excellent!
  7. Following on from Pete's genourous posting of hi-res pics I wondered , as it is New Year, who out there in the spirit of troopers helping troopers might post some of their rare pics?? Not all but one or two, just something for us lowly enthusiasts to get excited over!
  8. It's fine as long as you do it in character- There's one... set for stun! Just in case anyone is worried I'm kidding!
  9. I believe one of the was Scott Beach. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Beach
  10. I wouldn't want us to be accused of stepping on anyones toes as it were, it just seemed like it was worth putting the idea out there.
  11. Wow that looks awesome!! What armour is that? Just a thought- if there is little or no action on the special ops site could we not ask them if they would like us to incorporate them here? In essence it seems like a TX is just a TK but a different colour so all the build and reference stuff here is relevant unlike a TD which is different in various ways. Troopers helping troopers, perhaps we should extend a helping hand and make us a stronger group together.
  12. Can you get those for E11s?
  13. Is there a special ops detatchment?
  14. So can we have EIB Stealth trooper too?
  15. Mark could you find out if he is ever planning on doing another open day- I missed the last one and would be very interested in popping down. By all accounts he had some interesting things on display last time.
  16. Just to add to the confusion I would like to nominate FBJ Mark- last year when I first started really getting involved in FISD Mark was kind enought to spend hours of time with me going through pictures on his lap-top and patiently discussing all sorts of aspects of the various Stormtrooper armours. I realise I am lucky because Mark and I live in the same country ( although not that close to eachother) so this is possible but just the same I believe he truly went above and beyond. Taking all that on board along with the great work he does here ,and over on the UKG it seems this nomination is long overdue. Also Pete (Stukatrooper) deserves a nomination- is there anyone here who hasn't used his build tutorilas ?? I doubt it very much. Again I have had the good fortune to become a friend of Pete's and, like Mark, his willingness to spend his time to help his fellow troopers is phenominal! I realise that is two nominations and that they are for two friends but I assure you I am nominating these two because they deserve it not just because they are friends, I don't see why we can't have some kind of New years honours list, just like the Queen does over here!
  17. Received my book today- Brian you are a true gent! I am really looking forward to reading it this week. Happy Christmas mate!
  18. Paypal sent
  19. Mark you are well on your way- I still have nightmares about you and your armour!!!
  20. Wow Paul you never cease to amaze me-I have always wondered why the gaffer tape was there! Another mystery solved!
  21. Looks great- in some ways it makkes more sense that it would be a less shiney material.
  22. You seem determined to do it your way and I think you should. I look forward to seeing the results.
  23. Vern- at risk of sounding harsh you have made alot of assumptions and accusations about TM armour and when you are now being asked to back this up you skillfully move the goal-posts and change your approach slightly- call me cynical but what exactly are you trying to prove or ascertain here?
  24. Good post Mark-there endeth the discussion!
