Welcome aboard. Looks like you’ve made a good start. :-).

White primer added. Really looking forward to the gloss and clear lacquer to bring this to life. :-)

Thanks, Tino. [emoji16]

Hi Ian, Thanks for the question. There is certainly a yellow tint to the resin, however, in natural light I believe they are just white enough (hopefully). Once the helmet painting is finished I’ll check them against the white and see how things stand. :-) Dan

Hey folks More updates to share. Slightly out of sequence due to editing time and some camera issues, however, we’re looking at the helmet construction and ear trimming/fitting. CableGuy Builds: (Part 4) Troopermaster- helmet construction https://youtu.be/odSd9UXwPUs CableGuy Builds: (Part 5) Troopermaster build - ear caps https://youtu.be/0kMGLrFilcc More to come soon. :-)

Hi troopers, Little update now and more to follow later. The helmet is now prepared for primer. Just need to find a suitable time to do it. For now, I’ve now painted the hovi tips. https://youtu.be/LpRcLsvbg-I

Wait a minute - that’s not the knee plate, is it? It should have only 5 packs...

Yes, sir. That return edge can go. :-)

Haha. Yes, incredibly lucky. :-) Thanks, Tino. I’ll be looking over your thread again when it add my light weathering. Yours is still one of my favourite finished suits out there. Kudos. :-)

Hi folks, Slow but steady progress on this build. Thanks to an amazing Christmas surprise from my wife, this helmet is now accompanied by a full set of TM armour to match!! :-) Back to the lid. I’m pursuing a screen used look so have applied two coats of paint to represent the HDPE plastic used for the originals. This will allow for what looks like small “chips” in the final helmet. Here’s some pics.

We have ears. :-) Lots of the usual trim, hold to helmet, mark with pencil, trim, hold to helmet etc... Dremel was my primary tool for the ears. More to come. :-)

Welcome aboard, Jenny. Good choice with TM - one of the best armours in the galaxy. :-) Best wishes Dan

Hey buddy. Congrats on an amazing gift!! I’m around your height and 30/32 waist (depending on the make of jeans etc) and it’s no trouble. You’re about the ideal size for a TK. :-) Best wishes Dan

Lol. For sure, don’t burn it!! It’s only a little thing. Your GML might not mind for basic clearance. It will just be something raised at the higher levels. Keep up the good work. :-)

Hey trooper, I’m not sure if anyone’s mentioned this yet but, your tubestripes are currently applied to the opposite sides to what is intended. This leads to the front few stripes pointing up towards the eyes rather than falling forwards towards the frown. Just in case you’re looking to progress up to EIB and Centurion, you might want to consider reapplying (either decals or painted). Here’s a detailed explanation of the tubestripes application. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/44755-tube-stripes-anh-stunt-dave-m/ Best wishes Dan

These type of threads are always a bad idea. Not sure why it hasn’t been removed as it always leads to the same thing - mocking. Bad taste. Move along.

We have eye sockets... [emoji846] I’m around 90% happy with these. As per the originals, the lines are quite straight and sharp, cut with a blade rather than a Dremel, for example. I used a Stanley knife for these.

Next update, folks. :-) Found some time for a little progress. [emoji846] Rough trim on the ears to test the helmet alignment (faceplate/back and cap) prior to trimming the helmet itself. In my opinion, alignment of the two parts is key, so being sure that you’re not trimming too much off of the faceplate or back cap is important. Trim to much and you might not have the material left for overlapping and riveting the two parts together. Using natural light shon through the helmet to check how the parts are aligning and how much of an overlap there is.

Where to find a accurate ANH E-11 Blaster in Europe?
CableGuy replied to theshape.78's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
Hiya, For ready built, high quality blasters in the UK, I’d suggest looking at Imperial Warfighters (I believe they do resin and rubber), ShearTech (rubber) and RS Prop Masters. The first two supplier are on Facebook. Best wishes Dan
