Don’t blame you, mate. Good start. :-)

E11 Blaster-What do you have and what do you recommend
CableGuy replied to lightwave000's topic in General Weapons Discussion
Hi there, I’ve done 14 troops now with my resin Doopydoos and haven’t have a single problem. I’ve never dropped it and treat it with care and it’s doing fine. I took my armour up to Centurion and wanted a blaster to match. I modded mine with Tino’s completion set so it’s much more realistic now and I couldn’t want for a better trooping blaster. For rubber Blasters, Praetorian Blasters look really, really nice from the pictures I’ve seen. :-) :-) -
TK-77677 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [RWA] (933)
CableGuy replied to Wolfchen's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Congrats trooper. :-) -
Hi Niclas, The original suits were not acrylic capped so, personally, I favour the 1.5mm ABS (non-capped) as it’s closer in appearance to the originals. 2mm is also less detailed due to the thicker plastic. As in, the smaller details don’t “pull” as well. RWA has an amazing reputation for service and quality. The helmet and armour is not quite as accurate as TM but this is reflected in the very good pricing. I have RWA armour myself and can highly recommend the service and value. RWA does not offer a Hero helmet so do bear that in mind. Hope that helps a little.

Good job, buddy. Looking great! :-)

This is blaster porn, right here! ;-) Very impressive.

Hiya, Thanks for the extra photos. I think the first thing to look at is how the faceplate and back/cap are aligned. I noticed from the below shot that the two parts don’t really meet; I believe this is because the faceplate is mounted too high into the cap. Notice the green line on the screen used helmet. The eyes are roughly lined up with the rear line on the back/cap. It looks like your faceplate is mounted very high into the cap. I’d suggest removing the ears and adjusting the alignment to allow an overlap where the ears attach. Aligning the eyes, as above, will give you a more accurate appearance but also a more solid connection between the faceplate and back/cap. Once your alignment is sorted, you can then take another look at the ears and see how they match up. That would be my advice, however, I’m sure others will chip in too. :-)

Hiya. Can’t see any additional photos apart from internal shots. :-(
-
Are you able to post some more pictures? We can then take a look and see what the options are. :-)
-
Hi Christian Cool. Ideally, I mean from the front, sides, back etc. A bit like these, for example;
-
Very neat. :-)

Hey buddy, Do you have shots from all angles to let us take a look at the alignment and positioning, please? Initially, it looks like too much has been removed but additional angles would help. :-)

Hey buddy, As it’s a toy, the Hasbro is very basic and not very accurate. If your budget can stretch a little, check out options like DoopyDoos, Sheartech, Quest Designs, Praetorian Blasters, Fieldmarshall. Best wishes Dan

Hey bud, Don’t forget to post on your UKG thread, too. ;-)

Hi Niclas, If you check the RS Propmasters YouTube channel, they recently announced their 'Hero' helmet. If that's the route you are going, it could be worth a look. Alternatively, check out the armour and helmets from Troopermaster (on Facebook). TM makes some of the best armour and helmets on the market, by far, and is based in the UK! :-)

Hehe. Yeah, no worries. Yeah, just don’t add metal-effect weathering to the grip, rear of hengstler, t-tracks. Those were plastic. :-)
-
Cool, no worries. Won’t bore you with the different black finishes for different parts etc. :-)
-
Nice work. Looking very, Blaster-y. :-) Are you going for one solid colour as your final finish?

Ok totally new, need help. Stunt Build thread for trimming phase.
CableGuy replied to CadetNilz's topic in ANH Build Threads
Have you checked out the videos I linked? They really break it down. :-) -
Hi James, Exciting times. Best of luck with your build. :-) Just a couple of things; • be cautious of the colour match if you’re using a different make of helmet. TKUK is inherently blue (for some reason) so is a tricky match • check other TKUK builds for tips on how to get around some of its unique features for the best appearance. Joining the TKUK builders group might be advisable for additional support Best wishes Dan

Hey Josh, Don’t panic - we all started somewhere. Personally, what I’d suggest is like Tony said: to take a break from your armour and check out some build tutorials etc. The below link is the tutorials that I followed and were incredibly helpful: (This is the first - there are many). Now, this is for a different make of armour but many of the principals are the same. For my build, I probably watched each of Ross’ videos twice before making a cut, just to get a feel for what was going on. I then sat with the tutorial, listened to a short instruction then paused and copied, listen-pause-copy etc etc. You can still make good what you’ve got so just kick back, watch some YouTube and get into the groove. You’ll do great. :-) Dan -
StormtrooperShopUK in etsy. Legit or not?
CableGuy replied to AngryMinion-052596's topic in eBay Armor
Avoid, avoid, avoid. You can do MUCH better. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ This list includes kits used and endorsed widely across the trooping community. There are various price points in there. Also, I’d suggest avoiding TKUK and SDS/originalstormtrooper.com due to their inaccuracies. :-)
