I never used those measurements but that’s the general Idea. All the belts go together basicly the same way, what differs is what type of fasteners one uses. The thing to watch is the hight of the ammobelt and not to place the snaps to close to the raised edges on the ab. The method to get the belt to stay snapped in is to first set the middle (I used single cap rivets), snap the canvas to the ab, bend the ammobelt and mark were to put the outer holes through the ammobelt (you drill those holes beforhand) If you like some visual aid feel free to check my Hero-build

That´s the Stunt-configuration. Hero has four and as most people build for a Stunt, they had to remove the upper screws and fill in the holes in the belt (unless you changed the whole belt) ANOVOS listened and changed to the kit version which makes it easier

TK-39093 Requesting ESB EIB Status [TM] (APPROVED) 3rd

Looking good - Another EIB is at hand A few thing regarding the helmet: - tube stripes appears not to be decals? - Frown could use some TLC "paint does not leave the teeth area" Great looking set of armor and good luck -

Always a good idea to add some glue for extra hold -
Nice looking shape on the thighs

Having no return is approvable at all levels, however it`s not screen accurate as seen below, ref pic from Lucas archives, you can clearly see the return, granted it`s minimal in some places and removed in order to level out the inside/outside thigh piece in the back so one can say that having a return is more accurate than not

AP Armour - Trimmed - ANH Centurion - First Build Thread
TheSwede replied to Mr_Fahrenheit's topic in ANH Build Threads
Nice job Personally I would try to go a bit thinner on pin stripes and outlines all around and you don`t have to redo the bottom line on the fronts; the ones without the pin striping, as that will be hidden by the browtrim -
Worked on the shins and wanted to make them look as similar to the Anovos and CRL I traced a line trying the replicate that. Made the cut and transfered it to the back piece, I´m glueing it with an overlap so drew another line, a glue-line if you will, and then cut the excess of (2nd pic below although it`s the left shin as I forgot to take a pic when doing the right) Glued together Then I trimmed the top sides, CRL seam is straighter at the bottom but it will do (might trim the top a bit "flatter") The inside will be closed with velcro and instead of using overlap I chose to use a inner strip as velcro shelf, to me that would make the gap slightly less. Here`s how i did the left shin but same applies for both. First I drew a line so it would follow the shape of the seam and then did another one further in, big enough to have velcro on it and to be able to glue it to the inside of the shin. Ready to be glued in, not perfect but it will get the job done - hopefully Finished Then taped and trimed it. For the right shins inner seam I used the cut-out from the left Cut Transfered the line Made the inner strip as described, taped together and trimmed The might need a bit of heat-persuasion to stay closed but I will find that out ones I put the velcro on after painting.

That`s a feature of the original armor That`s up to you

That was my thought to, when thinking about it I was wondering why no one else seemed to be doing that, atleast not on any builds I read and I read alot of them...then I "found" Tony`s turtorial in the main TFA section and was like "aaahh"
-
I think the pics above answer that question pretty good, nice and tight at the boot and fairly snug around the leg, no need for the shin to be moving so tight is the way to go, in relation to the lower thigh of course

Dan got you covered - I´ll just move along -
During fitting I noticed that I could sew the shoulder and elbow gasket together so removed the velcro as I also found out that i don`t need it and it`s crowed enough in the suit Then is was the matter of attatching it to the undersuit, used glue to facilitate placement and it worked out Finished pruduct - did someone say Lord Vader
