  1. Congratulations and welcome to the Legion Trooper Have a great first Troop
  2. Looks pretty good However if it were me I would shave a bit more of the smaller one
  3. Hi Miguel and thanks for the additional photos. For the right thigh we can see alot of flat area that needs to be reduced, you can achieve this either by re-sizing the parts or by using a bigger cover strip and alligne it more in the center of the join as shown. For the armor to look proportional you will need to do the same for the left thigh. As you´re already working on it, we also suggest putting a piece of abs on the inside of the lower ridge (red circles) and abs paste from the outside to hide that gap to make your armor look it´s best. On the left shin we see even more flat area and to keep the cover strips not going way to large we suggest trimming or to smooth out the transition ridge of said flat area with abs paste and some elbow grease. Keep going Miguel - you got this
  4. Hi again A.J. and thank you for your EIB application! In this review I will ensure that your armor follows the requriments set out in the CRL L2 Expert Infantry Badge and also point out what I can to prepare you for Centurion, should you choose to apply. I hope you do! Let´s get started shall we! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted and I am very pleased to announce your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for ANH Stunt Expert Infantry. On behalf of myself and the entire D.O.Team, Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. As we navigate through this review we are going to start with the helmet and work our way down. You have a very nice and clean-looking kit and an equally clean build-thread to go along with it so the following is just a few things to consider if deciding to go for even higher screen-accuracy - if that is your cup of blue milk As mentioned by a fellow Trooper, the black outlines are a bit thick compared to most Movie-helmets. We suggest making them a bit thinner and as they appear to be decals you have a great option to go all in and hand paint Moving on to the ears. Though there are variations, most of them had an angle to them as seen in the reference image of our "set for stun -Trooper". Looking at the tube stripes and comparing with screen helmets the "end" stripe should have a bit of a lean forward. Just another one of those small details to look into and consider for some extra ANH-magic so we felt it was worth mentioning Turning to the back and the belt we suggest shorten it so it stays hidden behind the TD. That´s it for this EIB Review - moving along! Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. More photos may be requested in the future that allow us to make better decisions on possible adjustment etc. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Below you will find areas that will need to be adressed for a future succesfull Centurion Application. The CRL states there should be minimal gap between the shoulder armor and chest/back plate. Looking att your gaps we want you to try and get them as close to that blue line as possible. Suggested ways to achieve this would be to trim more of the lower return egde of the bells, more ridgid strapping and if possible triming the bells with a curve as seen in the reference image of an original bell from Lucas archives. For the back plate the CRL states it shall have no, or minimal overlap of the kidney plate. Raising the back plate or lowering the ab-chest/kidney should sort this. Looking at your strapping you could however first try to move them closer to the ends of the back plate to see if that helps and we also suggest you look into what´s causing that uneven overlap. All done - head on out as the Empire´s newest Expert Infantry Man
  5. Here’s how it looks, was ever only intended for trial fitting but stuck so well so left it
  6. Do you have the two part or full lenght? I used gaffa tape on the ends and velcro on the nose-bridge.
  7. That’s correct. There’s an ideal look to shoot for but as of now it’s only a suggestion
  8. Hi Darrell Thank you for your EIB application and as Joseph said - sorry for the delay but the D.O originally assigned to your app has got another task within the Detachment so I will be taking over As mentioned, you need to provide some additional pics, the EIB photo checklist does not include all changes made to the L2 CRL and needs to be updated. With that said, the pics needed are: # Sniper knee - front and both sides # Thigh ammo pack fixings - inside/outside #Side close-up of TD screws to determine if they in fact are the correct pan head style.
  9. Yes you can Reference helmet is the "set for stun"-Trooper helmet that Trooperbay based the tube stripes on.
  10. I’m not sure everyone would agree @gmrhodes13 What say you?!
  11. Congratulations and welcome to the Legion Trooper
  12. Hi again Chris and thank you for your EIB application! You have already added white paint to the rims of the Hovi´s and the only other little detail is the frown. We like to suggest you smooth it out just a tad and please, look more to the ref pic rather than that drawing () We realize that when raising the arms there might be a small gap between the chest and ab plate (idealy there´s not) but there´s also a indication of that when the arms are relaxed. Upon further trouble-shooting we noticed that there is a lean to the whole upper armor (ab/chest). This could be the way you are standing or a strapping issue so we suggest you look into what´s causing this. This bracket elastic looks to be up to no good - sort him out Trooper Moving on to the ab buttons we feel that reducing the size of the paint would be more in keeping with the originals. A tooth-pick and a few minutes of TLC should have that sorted and light shave of the smaller button plate wouldn´t go amiss That´s it for the front so we move to the back and drop down to the TD. Here we suggest you rotate the TD downwards simply by bending the clips. As seen in the ref pic the control panel should be facing out a bit more. Still on the TD another suggetion would be to see if you can bend the clips to lay flatter on the tube itself to avoid any "snagging-incidents" On to the shins and just a reminder to check the allignment for a clean look. Lastly we have the blaster D-ring, we suggest you change it out to something more accurate. And that´s it for EIB and again Congratulations! - moving along! Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. At this moment we only see one thing and CRL states: idealy there´s no gap between the kidney and ab plate and by the looks of things it´s only a matter of adjusting the strapping and/or a small shave of the upper return edges of the kidney/ab plate. All done! Now...enjoy beeing an Expert Infantry Man #900! for a few days and then get that Centurion application in!
  13. Hi Luis and welcome back for a second Centurion submission - let´s get started shall we! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos appear to be present. First we like to thank you for making the changes suggested in your EIB application and in this one. On behalf of myself and the D.O team - Congratulations of reaching yet another Centurion. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this area we discuss any areas still needing some improvement. Although they did not hold you back from Centurion, at this level it's all about the small details that will really make your armor look its best. We only have two small things - your shoulder bridges seem be to holding on for dear life in the back so...we recommend you reposition them to have less bumps on the front and that will reduce the risk of them slipping under the back plate. And the TD could stand some more tweeking so the control panel faces up more. And that´s it! Head on out in your Centurion kit and make the Empire proud
  14. I´m really sorry but I will need you to do that, I just finished looking over your build to try and find a photo of it, you only taking the one explains why I didn´t seem to find one. Again sorry and thank you for your understanding
  15. Hi A.J and thank you for your EIB application! I just need you to include two more photos and then we can proceed #showing both sides of thigh ammo pack fixing (only see one inside/one outside) #Other side of sniper knee.
  16. After Centurion then And...not much longer on this one
  17. Way to go Arthur!
  18. Thanks Dan and I look forward seeing your replica helmet
  19. That’s great to hear Miguel - we are standing by for when you are ready, but there’s no rush
  20. Got some painting done - tubes and pin stripes next
  21. Awesome work Chris! And that cod rivet! wow really loving you going the extra mile on that one - only ment removing the paint
  22. Quick answer. There is no definite size but as a general rule of thumb most go by this: Arms: 15mm Thighs: 20mm Shins: 20mm front/25mm back
  23. I always use white gaffa tape for sizing, holds really well
  24. RS is cast from an original suit so that´s just how they were made for the movie I feel stupid as I have no clue what you mean by this
