  1. My thinking was just to keep this one going, so sort of a re-introduction to the re-introduction
  2. I think it’s time to revisit this thread started by Dan @CableGuy It’s a nice way the get to know a little about the avatars you see on screen. Perhaps we can get some more players this time around as well as see if something has changed with the first participants. Now....I would get the ball rolling but I feel it’s only right that Dan takes the lead ones again (but only if you want too)
  3. Hey Tom - the guys above already got you covered so I’ll just say that it’s great to have you with us and welcome to FISD
  4. The ears work wonders on a TK helmet
  5. Hi Stuart and welcome to FISD Just echoing Glens post about contacting you Garrison and more importantly your GML (Garrison membership Liaison) as they are the ones approving your membership or Basic level, then you can request TK-status and subsequently EIB (Expert Infantry) and Centurion here on FISD. If you already are approved, request your TK-status here:https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/186-501st-and-detachment-access-requests/
  6. If screen accuracy is your thing then RS and TM like Glen said is by far the best options. RS has the extra advantage of beeing cast from a screen used suit, not all the parts though but the majority of the suit is. TM is by far the best fan sculp out there and has continued to tweek his molds. Shipping is always a killer unless you are fortunate to live in the country of goods wanted. I belive black friday is usually the one time RS has a sale but I could be mistaken. TM as a 25% off from his regular price and that has lasted the entire year, not sure if he plan to extend that to next year but you could always reach out to him and ask. Best of luck Oh! and it´s totally worth the money
  7. Hey all As the title says I’m stepping down from my role as Detachment Staff. Stay safe everyone
  8. Looking forward seeing your kit as I’m curious to see how it compares to other FOTK makers For gaskets I would say geekypinks for the cloth version and imperialgaskets (FB) for the rubber ones.
  9. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php
  10. It’s to keep them from twisting with coresponding velcro on the shin. If you get the fit right, thight around the boot and fairly snug on your calf you won’t need it
  11. Absolutely do not boil it!!! It’s pushed outwards due to the extra material. That is why it looks to be twisted, the ear itself is not actually twisted.
  12. That depends on your GML. I’m a GML and I would allow it with a suggestion to remove some material. As Glen mentioned it’s a bit twisted due to the material pushing outward. Please excuse the wonky illustration but it will give you an idea on how to adjust
  13. I would stay on target with AP, he’s a member on these boards so I will give him a nudge for you Calling @ABS80
  14. Here’s a pic to show it more clearly. Original to the left. You can also see on the picture Glen provided (same bell) that there is indeed some return left at the bottom. So I did what you did and left some, it’s the most accurate but, perhaps trim a tad more of the ”centerpart”, you can compare to the original.
  15. What do you need help with?
  16. Use a large drill and gently turn it by hand to countersunk the screws
  17. If you mean the part next to the thigh it should be in the kit from KB.
  18. That you should visit the Bounty Hunters Guild for http://thebhg.net/forum/index.php?/discover/unread/
  19. Still available here https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/135968
  20. No worries and now you do, was just a heads up
  21. Just a heads up - the use of elastic and hooks for closure of the shins is only an accuracy thing and not required for any level of approval.
  22. Welcome to the Legion and FISD
  23. Some more reference for you, notice how the originals were trimmed with a curve rather than a straight cut on the sides, helps close the gap to the chest/back. original to the left Just som Trooper-glory to keep you going
