  1. So..? Kidding aside…matching the paint is easy, the code is RAL 9010. Getting a helmet from another vendor is not a problem
  2. Yeah it’s kind of strange with the pricing, If they mark it a 600us helmet why ”only” 700 for the full armor kit with gaskets. I paid Anovos 850 back in the day and additional 150 for the helmet. The stand alone FO helmet was at the time 199US (If memory serves). Anyhooo….still think you should get one, can’t beat the lineage-feeling
  3. The FOTK is said to ship no later than June so fingers crossed and as you say, more likely than not the Anovos molds are now in DN hands. Would be very surprising if that was not the case. Anyway, they seem to follow through on everything they have said so far so I’m pretty confident the FOs will start to ship as well But there’s always that off chance my feeling don’t serve me right…I have been known to make mistakes…from time to time…
  4. The first transport has arrived! Changed one of the FOTK kits into 3 neckseals and 2 pauldrons, neckseals were first to arrive and actually within the timeframe given All is not lost and hope is yet again restored!
  5. Ears look fine to me, I would put the screws in and see how that affect things, as you say it will help pull things together. Take that pic from a few feet away as you are looking at someones elses TK and not your own and I’m sure you will feel more pleased with your work From a little distance those minor gaps will look more like shadows around the ears While I’m at it, perhaps you plan to revisit the eyes but if not, I would be inclined to trim them some more
  6. Glen is correct, Centurion is the higest level and it needs to be shown. Now…as Glen said the D.Os might be ok with it but as a former D.O myself I would have asked for new photos. Good luck
  7. It’s possible and often used to shorten the cod/ab plate so suit shorter Troopers. Usually it’s fused back to solid though. Some keep it ” loose and some make the mod to get some mobility. I wouldn’t though as for me I want the feel of the original suit. A moving codpiece takes it away, atleast for me and not sure it will look as good as a solid one either.
  8. That makes it heavily implied though, especially If you are new to the whole thing. Just something to consider.
  9. Awesome! Best of luck
  10. Chris has some interesting files so I for one are interested/curious to see how this will turn out. It does have some features though that reminds me of old FX armor, approvable but not that accurate. Looking at the helmet I feel hesitant it will look good enough in printed form to be approvable. But hey, you’ll never know and if it’s just a helmet you’ll be needing to complete this project there are plenty options out there. Haven’t heard of anyone trying this before so you might be a pioneer Good luck!
  11. Notch is not required , it was present on the original armor but for Centurion it’s optional
  12. You can, fill in the notch with a piece of abs and cover the seam with abs paste which basicly is dissolved bits of abs in acetone. Or you can try this option: You got this
  13. All I can say is, to alligne the armor that way is not how it’s supposed to be. I think Glen meant the same but his photos wasn’t the best to show this. Look att the ones I included, it’s of the original armor.
  14. To bad that this wasn’t caught early on but…fill in the notch with some abs and fill the seam and you should be alright, there’s almost always a fix for a problem
  15. Not sure I fully understod the drawings but….with the original armor, this is how the armor is supposed to line up.
  16. Congratulations Be sure to request Trooper status https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16-501st-trooper-status-requests-include-link-to-your-501st-profile-in-your-request/
  17. Not to start a discussion but, Hamil was closer to 5’7 and that according to himself. At 5’9 there wouldn’t be any need for that extra trimming they did on both the chest and back piece.
  18. Plastic weld works really well in bonding coverstrips on armor, pretty much all my suits are built that way and years in are solid as a rock
  19. From the looks of things it doesen’t seem you need to trim for hight. Good to hear you have found Christine’s thread already, I will ”ping her” for you @Cricket
  20. Oh! Also, start your own build-thread and help will be plenty
  21. Hi Can’t answer for were the links you mention take you but…all you really need to build your own kit are the many builds found here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/

  23. Amen to that! Come 2022 we actually might have a First order battle group worthy of the name here on the forum
