  1. yikes. Next time, use Frog Tape, its the best! I assume this is spray paint, which means its oil based. I would use motsenbocker's liftoff product. heres a link to the website. -
  2. There was also a screen cap of possibly foam material inside the shoulder bells so that they may flare out off the shoulders.
  3. Ill buy it, only to watch the special features. I am dissapointed with what uncle george did to the original films...AGAIN. Vader: Noooo....NOOO!!!!!
  4. SUCH A TEASE MAN!!!
  5. that looks great man! What software are you using? I do most of my work in 3ds max, but I am now learning how to use Maya which I LOVE with a passion.
  6. Not to bad. my suggestion would be to paint the bicept and the forearm armor to match the biscuit coloring of the torso armor. Also, try adding a bit of padding inside the shoulder bells so that they flare out off your shoulders. That should really help sell that ROTJ look. All in all, its looking good. Caleb
  7. we all know the job market is tough right now, congrats for scoring a position!

    What a Day!

It was SEAL team six, now called DEVGRU based here in my home town of Virginia Beach that was led by the CIA during the assault on Bin Laden's compound. I have to admit, Ive experienced nothing but an overwhelming since of pride when I heard the news. Caleb
  9. Loving it!!! Awesome stuff here man! Caleb
  10. I think the hand guards are perfect, especially if your going ROTJ. Nice modifications with the forearms by the way. Looks great. Now just go and get yourself a CFO ROTJ helmet and you'll be ready to go. Caleb
  11. lookin great!! Nice job. Caleb
  12. Id go with CFO armour. From the photos that have been displayed in Joe and Mark's thread, I believe it to be very promising. Caleb
  13. Show us some pics of this bad boy!! And congrats to you as well! Caleb
  14. From what I understand, Gino is (I assume) stating that the rebel helmet and faceplate were casted from originals. However, his wording is elusive, and can easily be interpreted by some to be casted form an original tie helmet. Gino, just be up front with us man, no need to confusion. Besides, your helmets our already top notch to begin with.
  15. why are the mic tips missing in those stills?
  16. I love the SE troopers!
  17. congratulations steve!!! February is a short month, so not much of a wait.
  18. MY GOD! THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME!
  19. I was going to add bondo to the dents in the back before i painted, but I personally liked the busted up look. The lighting in the photo also enhances the depth of the dents, in person, its not all that bad, and you dont really notice unless you got up close. Other than that, I think it gives the helmet a more grittier feel to it and personality. As for the HDPE effect on the ears, that was an accident. I have already sanded that area down and brushed gloss white paint over top to hide the chipping. Thanks for the input.
  20. why??? Because there AWESOME thats why!
  21. finished with painting and weathering. Just need to order decals, new neck trim, lenses, and hovi's and shes finished. What do you think?
  22. ouch, man, this sucks.
  23. Okay guys. Im back. I havnt gotten much done with the helmet, except for a paint job with primer and khaki flat paint. I bought some liquid latex and plan to do some chipping effects. Stay tuned.
