  1. Looks to be a ROTJ helmet. nice, how did you acquire it?
  2. Yea, i told my g/f that she is going to have to watch my back. Any of you guys here in Virginia going to Neko-Con?
  3. I have a top notch beautiful ROTJ e-11 made of mostly metal and some plastic/resin parts waiting for a new home. I can promise you that baby wont be damaged during shipping. over-all man, that really sucks. That vader helmet is pathetic, i would take a number 2 in that thing and send it back.
  4. haha, thats the truth man! I barely could get up one step in my girlfriends house. especially with the ultra tight rotj calf armor.
  5. I am going to a convention held here in hampton tomorrow and saturday. It is going to be my first time trooping, and I am a bit nervous. Anybody want to give me some suggestions or tips for this weekend? Thanks Caleb
  6. Im just about 5'10". Without the boots i can wear them comfortably when they are a bit lower. With the boots, there is not enough space at the bottom of the calf armor to push it down any further, unless i get a size 10 or 11 boot. These are currently 12, and there is still a lot of space in the boots.
  7. True. Im getting a smaller pair though, these boots are a bit too big, so i might sell them once i get my hands on a new pair. By the way, is the calf armor suppose to be up high on my leg like it is in the photo?
  8. I think we have a winner. The strapping on the entire torso looks much better. There is not much gap between the back plate and kidney plate. I also added straps to the chest and abdomen so that the tension increases on the ab plate, which keeps it up higher. Also added a bit longer strapping to the thigh armor. I also detached the strapping between the bicep and forearm to give me more mobility. I added foam inside the shoulder bells in specific spots so that the raise up off the shoulders, and i also added foam into the biceps to keep them in place. What do you think? Any suggestions? By the way, i managed to get my shins on and over my boots, but i had to raise them much higher. is that where they are suppose to be? Calen
  9. Thanks man, much appreciated!
  10. Thank you man, however, these are the before photos. I havnt taken photos with the armor readjusted. Wait till i post the new photos later on tonight once i get off work. It will look even better! Im glad someone noticed the vinyl straps. I made those myself. Not the greatest job, but it was good for a first try. The edge trim is awesome, i have to give it up to FON for doing such a great job reproducing them.
  11. Thanks man. But sadly, the helmet is a styrene painted biscuit. I never received an ABS. But i am trying to get my hands on one. Caleb
  12. Thanks. I will most likely do that. Im going to try on the armor tonight to see how it looks. The glue should be ready and dry by then. I also need to get a leather holster. Caleb
  13. some more photos of me in my ROTJ armor. These pics were taken a few nights ago, and as you can see, i had some problems with my thigh armor jamming into my butt plate, along with a few other annoyances. So I completely re-strapped just about everything so that the armor will look and feel better. The glue will take about 24 hours to fully cure, so once it is dry, i will take some photos tonight and hopefully, the armor will look better. Matt did a wonderful job with the strapping the first time around, however, it was based on his son's dimensions, and even though his son and I are about close to the same height, there had to be some adjustments made.
  14. Very sorry to hear about his man, My prayers are with you as well as his family. Caleb
  15. i concur. if it is a hero helmet, leave it clean! nice job with the decals, looks WAY better than mine.
  16. i made a small something with the vinyl fabric, nothing that great, but it looks pretty cool. ill take some photos sometime, right now im feeling pretty ill. Caleb
  17. Yea, i read that thread up and down myself. I like the photos of all the pulled armor laying around in the grass, pretty awesome. Well, Paul, I do not know if it is the absolute first or not, but i do know that it wasnt a suit from this recent run, thats for sure. I will take more photos once i get my hands on it. Caleb
  18. That is not a TE. I believe it is the old school Movie FX suit made in germany. You can find it here, http://www.starwarshelmets.com/imperialfanMFX.htm
  19. is that the problem? bigger the boots tighter the shins?
  20. I am having one hell of a time trying to put my te rotj calf armor on. I bought new size 13 boots from the new boot supplier at TKBOOTS.com and they are wonderful, but when it comes time to putting on the shin armor, i can close it! what is the problem? are my feet to big? should it try to squeeze into a size 12 shoe? What should I do?
  21. Never heard that one before. interesting though. Caleb
  22. I first came to this board in search for armor. I had not a clue about any of the different types of armor out there, I was a complete noobie. I quickly absorbed all I could about armor and all the different types, and I realized that I wanted to get ROTJ armor. So what did i do? I asked about how to get ROTJ armor, and i was given many responses. I was PMed a message about Matt, and how he is planning on doing a run of ROTJ armor. I was given an Matt's email, and I got in touch with him. He gave me some info and told me to give him a call. My first impression of Matt was "wow this is a pretty cool dude." We talked a lot about armor, he told me the history of how he obtained the armor, and the lineage of it, and also told me about the archives as well. Now I knew from the start that this was going to be a test of patience from the start, my motto has always been "Art is not rushed" so I try to follow that. We kept in contact very frequently and he would always give me exciting new updates on the armor with photos and a lot of detailed info, it was a blast. I also paid him in segments once every two or so weeks. He was very friendly, great humor, and pretty much an average guy. Now i will admit, there were times that i got antsy, and anxious, but i managed to keep myself together and keep waiting. From the get-go, I told him that I wanted an ABS suit; I remember countless times being told how many problems he was having forming the ABS pieces, and I was beginning to think that i would never get an ABS ROTJ suit. After almost a year of waiting, my ABS TE ROTJ suit arrives on my door step. Matt pulled through on his end and created a killer set of armor for me. The only thing I can complain about is that early this year, he offered me a rotj suit that was, supposedly, the very first suit "they" had pulled back in 98 or 99. I was sent photos and i was told the entire back story on this armor and why he was offering it to me. I took to offer and bought it. Now this was somewhere early this year, and i was told that the suit was going to be sent out many times. I know how Matt is and I know how he tends to run behind and get sidetracked, that's all fine with me. The only problem i have, is being told that the suit is going to be sent out next week, or in the next 2 weeks, and after a month i have nothing. I dont have any beef with matt, the only suggestion i can make on his business practice is that he sticks to his word. If its going to be sent out next week, then send it out. Matt I know you are reading this, Whats up man! However, on another note, I know not to expect any nasty letters from Matt because I have already explained to him my frustration toward him telling me that the suit is going to be sent out this week, or that week, and its already close to the end of the year and I have no suit (besides the ABS). Matt is still a great guy and I am proud to say my TE armor is the first armor I have ever owned. Sure he needs a kick in the butt every now and again, but so do all of us. Im not vouching for him or slamming him, he is what he is. Just like TM, AP, TE2, they all have different ways of interaction. Some communicate more than others, and some deliver their product faster than others. You just need to know what you are getting into before you get into it. I do apologize about your bad experience and angry letters. But like Joey said, Matt does not take liking to pressure from clients. You just got to let the man do what he does, if you got a problem, tell him. Again, that is who he is, you just got to be prepared with who you deal with. I hope what I say to you guys makes since, im a bit tired, but i felt the need to voice my thoughts on this matter. I hate to see Matt bashed and his work negatively criticized. I had a pretty positive experience. And i would possibly do business with him again. first I need that set of armor. Caleb
  23. that's a tough one to sell. I too would like to see where this goes just for the fun of it.

    17 again

me and my girl watched it a few days ago. i thought it was awesome, and yes, i liked Ned. he was the best. "Are you pea-cocking?" LMAO!
  25. True. I would like to keep the styrene suit nice and neat. Especially since it was one of the first suits pulled back in '98 or '99 when TE first started. So its safe to say both suits have much value. Caleb
