  1. I have heard all those excuses. Everything that I have ordered has been sent to me EXCEPT for my styrene armor which I have paid for at the beginning of this year. I too have spoke with JumpinJax about my armor, since Matt has ignored some of my messages, and he told me that my armor would be sent out on Saturday...But it hasnt. I also have paid matt before to send me my armor and he never had sent it, so that was a waste of $70 bucks. I truly hope you get to see all your stuff man. After all the trouble Matt has been through personally, it would be terribly foolish to pull this off with his customers. Caleb
  2. I am still waiting on my styrene ROTJ armor set. I paid him at the beginning of this year for it and i still have nothing. He asked me for my addy on friday so that he could send it, and i gave it to him, for the 4th time and then the next day he post on facebook that he isnt feeling well and that he wont be sending anything out and blah blah blah. By the way Joe, you do not have to tell him that there are pissed off people here, I am sure he has already read this entire thread already..I believe he has a dummy account on here. Caleb
  3. I think the hardware specs are good, but its an apple, and i think they are a bit overrated. I just hate the fact that you cannot repair a Mac on your own. Once you buy from Apple, you are instantly their bee-otch. If something goes wrong, say your graphics card fails, you have to get it through Apple. Also, there not many programs made for Mac's compared to PC. If i had to buy a mac, it would be the Mac Air, and it would be for school purposes only. Other than that, Im a PC guy. My girlfriend is a Mac. lol. Caleb
  4. Hey there, I sent it off to our buddy Matt in Texas. He will work with the piece so that it can get through customs. I have faith in him, especially since he has done this short of thing before. I bubble wrapped the sith out of it. It should be quite well protected, if it survives the shipping process that is. By the way, a jedi mind trick would have been a great idea. Caleb
  5. I agree, very nice gesture my Matt. Thank you!
  6. I just sold my ROTJ blaster to a member in the UK. The blaster is made out of metal with some resin/plastic parts. I have never sent a blaster prop to anyone in the UK before and I have been told how strict they are. Any advice on getting it past by the UK customs? Any advice will be helpful. Thanks! Caleb
  7. That is awesome man, post some pics when you have it ready! Caleb
  8. I dont know about you guys but i LOVE the SE/ROTJ suits. I guess because when I was a kid I had the old REBEL ASSAULT 2 game and the stormtroopers in the video clips of that game were using the same armor. This was before i watched any of the movies, so that game was basically my first introduction to star wars.
  9. I have no idea what that could be, maybe an old fx but im not sure. Although I have seen those hand plates before.
  10. I too would love a signed copy of this book! This is great man! Cant wait to read it!
  11. Post them here in the Armor and Helmets discussion. As for the subject of this thread, I have to agree with Joe that this is possibly one of the Fiberglass copies of TE's rotj background helmet. Id still say this helmet is pretty rare, especially since only a few fiberglass casts have been taken from it. caleb
  12. Thats very interesting. Your buddy must of made a pretty penny making those suits. Ill be keeping an eye out for those photos, i think a lot of us would like to check them out.
  13. Oh i see. Did not know that. Well from what he told me,he used ANH ears, not ROTJ for this latest run of helmets.
  14. Yea, maybe i shouldnt. some random ninja kid might steal it and blow up the place. lol.
  15. Yea, im definately going to beware of the little ones. I do not mind giving high fives or taking pictures, but im not trying to have some kid come up from behind and glomp me. In fact, im going to wear a big sign on my back that says DO NOT GLOMP!
  16. Really?!?! Do you have any photos?
  17. I beat you to it Joe.
  18. Trooper Expert or TE for short, was a pseudonym that Matt G. used when he produced armor and helmets. He had obtained an original set of screen used armor which was used for Return of the Jedi. He made copies of the helmet and armor starting back in 1999. He recently did a run of ROTJ helmets and armor made of styrene plastic. He only made 3 out of ABS plastic, which was what the original screen used ROTJ armor was made of.
  19. Didnt TE use ANH ears or modified ears for his ROTJ helmets? Also, he said that he has had the helmet for 13 years now. Did matt obtain the original helmet and armor that far back?
  20. Correct me if im wrong Joe but are you saying that this casting looks to be from a TE rotj helmet?
  21. This is definitely from a screen used helmet, you can see the slight impressions from the decals, especially the tube stripes.
  22. type 1. Type 2 is just incredibly wonky, it looks completely different in shape, especially when you look at it from the side.
  23. Simple. The ears are the BIGGEST give away. ANH and ESB have ears that had 3 screws holding them in place, once at the base of the ear, and two at the top. There were also 2 types of helmets made for ROTJ. Type one helmets can be seen in the hanger bay scenes on the death star at the beginning of the movie. Type two can be seen practically everywhere else in the movie, primarily the Endor battle scenes.. Its quite simple two tell the differences between the two. The shape of the type 1 helmet is much more reminiscent to the ANH and ESB helmet shape, while the type 2 helmet is much more wonky and distinctive.
  24. actually, im positive its an ROTJ background helmet. Im not sure of the maker though, however, the only people i know who have had a background helmet is TE, Matizza, and C. Oakley.
