  1. I used rustolium texture so it had a sand stone feel. Everyone seems to dig it. Although, nothing sticks to it, ha ha ha. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  2. The dish washer gloves are for approval and 501st meetings. The rest of the time we all find better gloves. I use the grease monkey ones, which have worked well this far. These flight gloves look good too. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  3. Maybe his dog has horns. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  4. Well good luck to Blair! Hopefully she does a thread, this community is always willing to help. It helped me when i needed it. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk

It's a gorgeous coin, got my 2 today. Great guess, I'd have guessed an independent civilian contactor that died on the death star. Ha ha Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  6. Check it all out, you are likely just fine. I did mine myself and it was as easy as wiring them together, but I've wired things like speakers so I'm vaguely familiar with it. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  7. I've tied all 3 of my fans to one USB plug, and the Anker battery powers them all pretty well. Tony's likely right, they might be 12v fans. Have you tried switching the plugs to see if both fans rotate slower on the one amp port? Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  8. Congrats, Comrade! Now get to trooping, trooper! Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk

  11. I've only been on one troop, and it was a very stoic and humbling one. But this is great insight as to the fun to be had at my upcoming trips. I've had a lot of these ideas as well, but some are so amazing I can't believe I didn't think of them. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  12. Velcro, and glue of the velcro doesn't hold. I've had a couple fans that seem to loosen their grip from the helmet itself. So I've used glue to help secure them in their place. For the large items are use velcro exclusively. It actually doesn't seem to cause any problems. When you can, talk to some of your fellow Garrison members and see if you can check their helmets as well. I did that before I even started building which gave me some great insight as to what to do with the helmet. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  13. I remember my build like it was last month...cuz it was! Awesome! Take your time, it's best to think before you cut it. Also, and very important, is to remember that the original movie pieces for literally had me. So imperfections and small mistakes are totally ok. They are not supposed to look perfect. 14. Some trim it into 2 pieces and glue to the helmet. Others use the screws fit the ears to secure it to the helmet, like wrap-around style. Does that help? Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  15. Ukswrath's build thread is a great reference, even though the Anovos build is fairly simple. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  16. Adopting the fans to a USB battery is worth the time investigating and doing, and not hard to do. Or buying them ready for USB. You can get hours of use. You can get Anker USB batteries on amazon, and 2 day delivery with prime. I'm in Texas too, the first thing I did was put 3 fans, yes 3, in just to make sure. Plenty of water, plenty of breaks, and remember that it's better to be on a cooling break then passing out in public. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  17. Congrats, and i look forward to trooping with you some time in the future! Feel free to join us in the North Texas Squad. Cheers, brother! Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  18. I use magnets on the shins and other strapping. I added them to the shoulders and sides of the torso, as well as the calves. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  19. Looks good on ya! Yes, the armor will name or look less big-headed. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  20. I grabbed an A4 Men's Compression Crew Long Sleeved Shirt and Baleaf Men's Running Fitness Workout Compression Base Layer Tights. Grabbed a size larger to make sure they weren't see-through. Work well for me, no logos i can't hide ("belt" on the pants is covered by the shirt), breathes pretty good, and affordable. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  21. AND I'm doing this. This will help with my TX build! Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  22. Here you go, a pic. You can find it at Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. The green is medium strength, and the yellow is light. I highly recommend the green as it will bond a lot better to the material. I even used it to do my Armour tote. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  23. The green frog tape might be better at keeping it from running. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk

  25. I'm an ENFJ. Sometimes I'm an introvert, especially when I'm working on things like my armor. But other times I'm pretty extroverted. I work for a local craft brewery as a brand ambassador. That job involves me pretty much talking to people for a few hours at a time. I will say that I am far more outgoing when no one knows that it's me, like maybe I have a bucket on my head from my TK.
