That seller is a No-No. Avoid at all costs! Paul Strength Star Grisson | North Texas Squad - XO 2017 | Trooper 31201 (TK/TX/DZ) Rebel Legion | Kessel Base | Anakin Skywalker (Clone Wars) / A'Sharad Hett [email protected] | 512.577.3769 | http://www.paulstrength.com

TK/TX 31201 : Star Garrison : North Texas Squad

I can help here... This is shipping out of Rowlett Texas, that's just down the highway from me and in the Star Garrison's North Texas Squad. We are NOT aware of anyone casting or recasting going on here. This individual would have offered to the Garrison before eBay, and no one is selling a TK kit. AVOID EBAY AND AMAZON!!!! Sick with the approved vendors, it's stress free and correct. TK/TX 31201 : Star Garrison : North Texas Squad

JIMINY XMAS I'm glad you skipped that. Look for armor parties in your area, that'll help you gain insight to the build process. Ask a garrison member of them help guide you through the process, but you'll need to do the work. You will need help with fitting. It's intimidating, was for me and i can build stuff, but once you start you'll see how easy it really is. So much so i built a shadow stormtrooper kit, my TK is v an Anovos and the TX is a WTF. You have the most ridiculously swine v resource right here, the FISD. We're all here to help. TK/TX 31201 : Star Garrison : North Texas Squad

That Joseph said, the ears aren't bad at all. It's nothing that would prevent approval. My shadowtrooper bucket is the same. It adds to the imperfections, like in the movie. TK 31201 : Star Garrison : North Texas Squad

Wwwhhhhoooaaaa, you're half way there! TK 31201 : Star Garrison : North Texas Squad

I use the plier tool. Makes the process go smother. Just make sure you get ones that fit your snaps. They have a code on the snaps that you match with the pliers. TK 31201 : Star Garrison : North Texas Squad

How close am I to finishing my Anovos for basic approval?
Strength replied to Sherbert's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
Justin! I made some of the suggestions you mentioned. This is exactly where ya need to be to get them fixed. Look forward to hearing of your approval, brother. TK 31201 : Star Garrison : North Texas Squad -
Make sure you include that you're already a member, you're requesting a new costume to be approved, and your TK ID. This way they don't waste time looking for the legion member request, as you're already a member. Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

Also, most legit members sell their armor on the 501st forums, the fisd for sale forum, or sell them directly to their garrison members. I, personally, have never seen a legit approved armor kit, fully assembled, sold outside of the 501st community. Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

Red flags: This set is no longer being produced - ANH Stunt is being produced by many vendors, it's the most common. Made using the ORIGINAL, SCREEN USED armour from the movie to cast it - Molds are used, the originals are not used as casts as they are old and rare to find the original in one piece. The molds are hand-made. Otherwise, from what i can see, it LOOKS legit. That doesn't mean that it is or that this is a great deal. ALL OF THAT SAID... I would suggest not purchasing this. The reason being is that you should build your armor to fit you and your body. There's no guarantee that this is going to fit her, and you may have a lot more work involved trying to trim it down to her size. Depending on her body size, there are vendors that build for smaller or bigger Troopers, as well as taller and shorter Troopers. There's also a line of Femme armor, designed specifically for women's shapes. You will spend around that much or less on a new kit, which you would then trim so that it fits her exactly. Here are a couple of resources on where to find armor, and where to avoid. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/page-48#entry512483 http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19329-where-what-and-whom-to-avoid-when-buying/#entry234636 Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

I heard that they accidentally shipped out TKs instead of TXs. Should be interesting to see how they fix this problem. Glad you got to get that you can start on. Everyone's pointing you in the right direction, and I also have and I anovos TK. Good luck on your build! Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

Like they said, foam in the front of the shin and some foam in the back of the thigh. It's a VERY common problem. Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

Yeah, and check with your garrison too. I got my kit off a fellow member who wanted to jump onto TFA kit. SO I got a TK!! But yeah, save up the pennies.

"If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball." Ha ha ha ha ha Once you've built a a kit, most projects are totally feasible. Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

We want to make sure you get the right armor. But feel free to come in and ask us about anything you find. It's always best to ask a question then to not make a mistake. Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

Yes, i was looking for the thread to link to...then got distracted by actual work. Ha ha. Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

FIRST, always be cautious when going to a vendor. Always check them against the vetted vendor list. Second, as a designer I don't trust this site who's icon has a mirrored image of a stormtrooper. That's really just a personal thing for me. "...and is the closest you can get to owning one of the Original Stormtrooper armours used on-screen." Unfortunately they don't seem to know that a Anovos also was allowed in the archives to scan the original armor. This group is selling the hero styleAnovos, and many others, sells the stunt Style. Personally, I would suggest maybe shopping around a bit more and see how that price compares to getting the entire kit from other vendors. It's always best to be an informed buyer, especially in a market that we deal with. Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

I was really hoping that was what I was missing. Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

It's not against the 501st rules for members to sell things to each other. I think you misunderstand what I was saying. I bought my kit, which is from of vetted vendor, from a fellow member of my Garrison. I'm suggesting purchasing one from a member, if it's for sale, as to be able to get it in hand quicker. Otherwise yes, I agree they should definitely look at the vendor list. Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad

Get in contact with your garrison, there might be someone in the group I was looking to sell their kids. That's how I acquired mind, I fell of Garrison member was selling and a kit. Really, be date and buy from a member, or from the vetted list of vendors. Trooper 31201 | Star Garrison | North Texas Squad
