  1. MAN these are great stories!! My first was El Pablo (the Paul) which was a play on El Diablo (the Devil). I'm actually a passive and nice person. Then I started thinking about what is want on my gear after I'm 501st approved. So i went with my last name, Strength. Yes...yes, it is my actual last name. Works pretty great. 2. One thing to think about is that if the air outside is hot then you're just pulling in hot air. From what I hear from others, having the air in the bucket move around is far better than not having any air moving at all. Was it really humid outside? I know I have trouble breathing when it's humid. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  3. You may also want to check with some of your fellow Garrison members. I'm pretty sure someone has experience with this as well. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  4. Oh, yeah! Sly's right. If there's a regimen edge go ahead and remove that. Check some of the centurion application threads to see what we mean. That'll make it easier to reshape them. Let us know how it goes, and always feel free to ask for insight or advice. You're looking great otherwise! Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  5. Hot water bath, then carefully and slowly widen them. I had to do the same thing with mine, i lift weights and my shoulders aren't that narrow. Take your time, don't use too much force, pun intended, to widen them. Just do it bit by bit. You can use s heat gun, but you still need to go slowly and carefully so you don't break or split the material. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  6. Check with your local Garrison, especially if they have a Facebook page. I've got both my kits from Garrison members. You might also check the commissary here, just to see if anybody happens to have a kit for sale. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks for this post, it helps a LOT with my build. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  8. Let's just say Rubies is NOT going to help you very into the 501st. It's essentially a cheaper Halloween costume. We aren't making Halloween costumes, we're making smiles and dreams happen. It just happens to be a coincidence that we can also wear the armor for Halloween. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  9. I agree with the rest, save up and get your armor from a reputable seller, not on eBay. Check with your garrison too. I bought my TK and Shadowtrooper kits from mine, so i know they're legit. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  10. Looking sharp. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  11. BOOM, purchased one. Fantastic Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  12. NOT bad deal. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  13. No, use the force. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  14. THE TD IS ON THE SIDE. I give up, i failed as a stormtrooper. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  15. ...are the panels supposed to move so freely? I must be using too much velcro. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  16. This might help: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/37729-hero-v-stunt/#entry502659 Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  17. AWESOME pics and time! Strange that the velcro didn't stay, mine haven't loosened. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  18. THIS!!! Thanks for the a Home Depot spot too, sometimes half the battle is finding the pieces like magnets. I'm going to use velcro first, but when I have some more time I'll add magnets. Right now I just need to get approved. This was VERY helpful. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  19. You got a good iComm! Mine was malfunctioning, it's being fixed. It makes for fun times talking to others. I can't wait to talk to my neighbors about the empire when my armor is done, using the iComm. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  20. Is there a certain blue that is specified? Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  21. The difference between the hero and stunt armor are pretty subtle differences, but there are some so make sure that you research what they are. This way you know what requirements you need to meet. Check out different helmet insides, especially with your Garrison, so you can figure out what you would like to put in the liner. 22. Ha ha ha, I'm glad i follow this thread. I just test fit my thighs. I workout and play soccer, and it looks like i don't need to trim at all. Man, i got REAL lucky. Thanks for the insight, that helps me understand what to look for. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  23. Welcome top FISD and The Star Garrison! I'm actually in Plano. Be sure to Hong the Star Garrison group on Facebook. There's an armor party on the 25th. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  24. Well done!! Great armor too. Look forward to trying to troop in the great Canadian north, being from Texas. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  25. One thing to keep in mind with the armor, it's okay if you make some mistakes. The original movie pieces were too literally handmade. So it's expected that things will not be absolutely perfect. Take your time, think before you do anything, and if you're still unsure then talk to some people in your Garrison.
