  1. This...is amazing. Ha ha, a very much has a double meaning between the Blaster sounds in the pews in a church. I actually have ties to the Hamilton Clan, and what you found out is absolutely true. That's actually pretty clever of them. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  2. Hey, glad this popped up. Requesting 501st access, TK 31201 from the Star Garrison. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=21891 Cheers Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  3. These are NICE!!! I'll be looking for a run of shirts for mine. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  4. Blam-o!! It was my action shot for my submission. Thinking of redoing for my cards, or using my friend's kid dressed as an ewok. Decisions, decisions. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  5. I got mine built and approved in less than a month. Thank you Anovos. I'm actually thinking of using magnets instead of snaps or Velcro. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  6. Try this: https://m.facebook.com/groups/612005498911674?ref=bookmarks Once in, ask for suggestions on what the best route is for you based on your size and charger desire. Walt's pretty good about helping customers. He's also on FISD so you might run across him here as well. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  7. BTW, pur one of my sith lords... Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  8. Ha ha, i had to look it up the first time i saw it too. I actually got his Shadowtrooper kit. It's not as simple as Anovos' kits, but if you take your time you'll get here. I finished an Anovos in less than a month, WTF is going to take me quite a bit longer. Id you invest a bit of time then you're making progress. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  9. I have the same Smith's that you grab two. They're really great, but they're pretty limiting in terms of tight areas and when you're trying to do long stretches on the sides. If you can grab a set of utility Snips that fit like scissors. Both of these are going to be super helpful for you. Otherwise, you are well on your way to getting started on the right foot. 10. Wearing armor while taking a shower would be hilarious. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk

  12. Hot water bath saved my butt...literally. i used it to curve the butt plate a bit more. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  13. Personally I use the hot water bath. Depending on the piece this might be a lot easier to do. Of course, if you're really familiar with the heat gun then by all means it's a great method. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  14. A really great place to start would be the build threads. A lot of people visually map out their process of how they build their kids.Ukswrath has a great thread that can help you as you progressed too, it's a really great reference. - The First Cut is the hardest, but once you get started it's much easier from there. - take your time. It's better to take your time then too cut something wrong. Just like cutting hair, it's easier to take a little bit off then to try to put a lot back on. - get together with your local Garrison members. You'll find out about armor parties, which are Super beneficial. While you're there you can have people critique and help steer you down the right Road. - binge watching Netflix while tripping armor is how I got through it so quickly. Just relax, do some reading, and let out begin! Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  15. Start with a celebratory dance. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  16. I have an Anovos and am using the straps right now. I, too, plan to incorporate snaps after I'm approved. Once you're fine and submit for approval start investigating into snaps. That way your prepared to switch sooner rather than later. Velcro is great but it's flexible and doesn't always grab correctly, leaving more wiggle room than you want. 17. Oh, you're gonna hanve a fun journey!! I was basically in the same boat. You'll want to talk to your fellow Garrison members. Especially about armor parties, as people have equipment so you don't have to purchase them. Things like belt sanders. You're definitely gonna want to get some scissors that can cut through plastic. 18. Keep posting pics here so you can get the input. Honestly, we're all built differently so no one can fault you or the kit for not fitting perfectly. Ask one of them casually and see what they say about it. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  19. Honestly, you look good in the pic! I wouldn't sweat it too much. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  20. Ha ha ha ha ha, touche! Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  21. How do they fit? Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  22. Hey, if it were easy then everyone would be in the 501st. The best part of this is seeing the finished product after investing the blood, seat, and tears...figuratively with the blood part. Post pics and ask for guidance. Meet with some members of your garrison for a hand. There is NO WAY this is a lost cause. Take some down time, let everything settle and marinade. Then come back to it. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  23. The above responses are solid advice. Otherwise, per your criteria, you're best bet is to check the commissary here or see if anyone in your garrison is selling armor. - The time-line is up to you, I'm almostfinished with mine and is been about 4-5 weeks. - You're not likely to get a pretrimmed set as you should trim it to your body and size. - The work we do to them make them as close to screen accurate as we can. Talk to your garrison members, they can give you massive insight as well as finding advice here on FISD. You can even see the final product. Plus, they'll help you with armor parties.
