I'll give nail polish a try. I was also thinking white Plastidip may work as well.
While I wait for comments/approval on my EIB application, I've gone ahead and started addressing some final things before applying Centurion. Here's what's on the menu for December:
- Replace hovi mic mesh, paint inside/rim off-white
- Re-paint vocoder (ANOVOS paint job sucks)
- New chest-to-back/shoulder strapping (to eliminate gap)... will also probably have to remove most/all of the return edge on my shoulder bells
- Lower 'han hook' on right bicep (sits higher than left)
...Plus anything else that may come out of my EIB submission.
Congrats Dan. Been following your build on here for awhile, you should have no problems with EI and Centurion (we may well get our EIB at the same time!).
Mic tip mesh, if you choose to replace, is also incorrect.
PS: Might want to put some foam/felt on the backside of those chicago screws on your holster, or you're likely to chew up your kidney plate. Learned that one the hard way...
New snap plates/straps are under way in preperation for my EIB submission:
For those wondering, I use a hobby iron to heat up my snap plates and bend them to fit the contours of whatever I'm gluing them to.
Also am nearly finished with my thighs. All that's left is a bit more sanding/polishing on the left thigh, I had to add about 1/2" to the top due to overzealous trimming:
