  1. Yeah, Anovos belt is junk. Be super careful when you go to remove the rivet covers - I destroyed two of mine and had to source replacements from ATA. I also sliced my finger open. Yay. Other unsolicited advice: use popper snaps (or better yet, magnet snaps, Tandy sells them) for your belt-to-ab plate connection. The line 24 snaps hold great, but are a major PITA when putting the belt on. If you ever plan on going ESB or ANH-Hero, some way of making the belt portion removable might be worth pursuing as then you'd only have to swap out the canvas portion instead of having two or three seperate belts. Again, only if you think it might be an option later on.
  2. Congrats, Tony. I'll be looking to your thread when (if?) my Anovos kit ever ships. Great job.
  3. Well we’re 2/3rds of the way into the new trilogy now so I’d assume you’re okay? If not there’s the other build thread section.
  4. Welcome aboard. Nice work.
  5. So, so true. Figuring out how to pack/unpack becomes easier as well. Aeosyn, I'd recommend just getting a set of flexible hand guards, even if EI/Centurion aren't in your sights. I had planned on using my ABS plates that came with my Anovos kit on my second (non-rubber) pair of gloves for when I wanted something more breathable, and they just aren't as comfortable. Then you can glue and forget.
  6. Overall, seems a well made rubber blaster. At first I thought it was the Rogue One E-11B from Praetorian Blasters, since that's the only hollow scope rail one I'd known of.
  7. Hollow scope rail, is that the Rogue One E-11?
  8. Very fast progress. Keep up the good work.
  9. Almost there!
  10. Another “meh”. Felt a bit like big-budget fan fiction. More and more curious to see what Lucas had intended for the sequel trilogy. Also... felt like Rian didn’t like where J.J. was going to take this trilogy and pivoted (Luke tossing his saber, killing Snoke, gutting The Resistance, etc.).
  11. Another vote for compression pants/shirts.
  12. I spent some time Thursday morning making up a plate to cover the Husky logo on my armor bin (wanted to get it finished before trooping the premier): It's a piece of 3.25" x 12" white ABS (leftover snap plate material) that I painted black. I then drew up and cut out the design with my vinyl cutter. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
  13. Guess I should clarify, what I meant is only allowing TLJ Phasma to have it as a weapon for higher levels and not TFA Phasma (much like pauldron/vest/riot shield combo specifications for FOTKs).
  14. I don’t think Andrew or Tony are going to deny you for being a millimeter off.
  15. Spear going to be TLJ only for Centurion? That’d be my vote.
  16. Yeah, go Tony! (Automotive paint looks like it’s holding up pretty well.)
  17. Congrats! Enjoy your build.
  18. Instead of painting, just get some that are 'close enough'. ATA is a good match (my belt rivet covers are ATA and they're almost a perfect match). I've heard WTF matches well, too. If you really want paint, there was a guy making color-matched rattle cans but I can't remember his name. Hopefully someone who does chimes in...
  19. Coverstrips? Yes, the Anovos kit includes them. For strapping, the forearm-to-bicep and bicep/shoulder elastic is included, I purchased the garter system sold here for my thighs: I also recommend buying better, industrial-strength Velcro if you do choose to use it. Everyone I know who used the included Velcro has had it fall off their armor (shin closures especially).
