  1. Hi Jenny, will follow your thread here as well as on CCG forums! To keep cut lines straight, I used a long metal ruler and clamps! Andy likely shared quite a bit of info with you, but please don't be afraid to post about any questions you might have!
  2. Just want to say thanks as I've been referring to your thread for my First Order TIE Pilot build!
  3. Teresa (@Soulart)/Geeky Pinks might be able to help you with that.
  4. Looks like someone at least got a helmet recently.
  5. Should AM info be updated? I understand that they are producing kits again.
  6. Was just reading this issue and came looking for a thread like this! I think that the hand plates may actually be kind of cross between ANH and ESB styles. Shape of ANH but lines of ESB clamshell. The shoulders actually look like a different shape depending on the references, and beyond the two small details, it looks like the ridge is absent and there are different line details. Lastly, I noticed that the ear details are Hero-style. Only two screws and three bumps. Hope that helps! I was sort of thinking of maybe seeing if this would be possible too.
  7. Yeah, I think you should ask on your garrison's forums to see if anyone might be interested in doing this work for you. If the person is local, they can ensure that the costume fits you best right away instead of building the whole thing and then having to change a bunch of stuff for fit. In my experience, measurements only go so far; lots of tweaks required even when you get a commissioned build for armour.
  8. If there are any Phasmas near you, your garrison is the best place to ask. Be sure to join your local garrison's forums to meet some of the members and to ask if there are any Phasmas in your area! Checking the Legion database, there are currently 22 approved Phasmas in the Legion. Good luck on your journey!
  9. Anyone have advice to share with Steph here? I haven't worked with fiberglass before so not sure what to advise.
  10. Is there some kind of buckle molded on the large ab box? It should be a small recessed rectangle in the lower right corner. I have seen several KB Props kits in various states with this but his FB page doesn't show that at all. Can you clarify? Thanks.
  11. Hi guys, just doing some research. I've seen in some build threads that the ab boxes look different from what is on the KB Props facebook page. The photos I've seen seem to have some kind of belt buckle shape molded into the large box that should have the recessed black square in it. The photos of the armour on the KB Props FB page look like it's more accurate with the recessed square there. Has someone recently purchased KB Props FOTK armour who can clarify this for me? Thanks in advance.
  12. Looks like your shoulder bells are turning outwards based on that photo. Might need to adjust the attachment to the shoulder strap. Looks like your right shin is rotating too. Almost done!
  13. Hey congrats! Was MIA for a bit, but glad to see you approved and EIB!
  14. Well I, for one, am impressed! Great work! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Yeah from the looks of it, a bit more time and effort will get this all looking top shape! Good luck!
  17. From what I've seen, sanding from a rough grit down to a fine fine grit and then Novus polish.
  18. Keep the faith and persevere!
  19. Looks pretty darn good to me! You do have a wee bit of ABS from the face poking out on your left side. Night want to trim that down a hair so it's not visible.
  20. I actually find since the side with two tabs has a tight slot, it stays straight better for me (I didn't put any straps on the side, my canvas belt holds my kidney and ab together)! I will eventually switch my other side from the large tab to two tabs. E6000's done just fine for me so far!
  21. Those look great! Keep it up! And happy to hear about customer service from RS! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Static burst functionality is a bit pricey for me so I don't have that right now.Typical setup is Aker MR1506 and iComm. There are other options out there for sure. I recently got a wireless mic, but I haven't finished installing it in my bucket, so I don't have any feedback on that for now. Chatter should only be used by one person at a time...can get annoying, particularly if it's too loud. I don't find the bursts annoying.
  23. Not sure that I understand 100%, but here's a suggestion: leave this as is, work on some other stuff, and then come back to this. Investing more time into something that's frustrating you now may not be as productive!
  24. Yeah, ideally you should have tried to trim the sides of the pieces evenly to avoid that issue (maybe you did and I missed that). I would say use a piece of scrap and try and rebuild it a bit and fill in the seams with ABS paste, sand, and polish. You're going to want that curve to go back up. Even if most people won't notice it, it will probably bug you. Regarding EIB and Centurion, it's funny, I was really concerned about it when I was doing my build and after starting to troop, I've started to feel less strongly about getting that approval. What's important in the end is making the kids happy, and it's not the end of the world if you don't get those higher levels of approval. In my case, I just need to add a D-Ring to my E-11 and I can apply for EIB and I haven't done it since I was approved in April. That's my perspective on it! Don't mean to discourage you from going for EIB/Centurion, just that not getting there isn't a disaster.
