  1. Congratulations! You're gonna love Trooping! Have fun out there!
  2. I hope this hasn't turned you off from the hobby. This hobby is an expensive one. And as the old adage says, you get what you pay for. Just save for a bit and grab a set from one of the vetted makers here. Good Luck Future Trooper!
  3. You should be fine. Just make sure coverstrip is even on both halves to keep everything snug for many troops to come. Keep up the good work!

  5. I just wanted to share a pc. of the TKC I really like. The Saber. I've always wanted to mess with the Bathrobes so I figured it's time to climb the ranks to have one. I'm fortunate enough to have a very talented Sabersmith in our Garrison. I commissioned the Starkiller from him aiming for Centurion in mind. And I have to say I was impressed with how people can build these things! So enjoy the pictures! And I hope it's ok to give a shout out to Arm on Fire Sabers. Find him on FB. Cause I just did it! 6. I'm building a Commander myself and I used 8mm double cap rivets for all required. For the Kidney I came in 4mm to the edge of rivet. My armor has the curve on top so I eyed it so rivet looked even and centered for top one and bottom one rides 4mm in and up above belt. The ear bars are up to you. Images have been saved by our great friends here on FISD! Glad to see you going for Centurion! I don't recall finding one in my search. You may be a first. I'm building to Centurion as much as I can with lack of overlap being only setback. Best of Luck Daphne!
  7. Heavy weapons Stormtroopers
  8. If you're a Heavy come on down. Someone will unlock the door for you. Shawn(Crooknight) started page awhile ago. Always room for more HWT's!
  9. You did a fantastic job on that! Shame you had to part with it.
  10. Yes it is riding high. Follow CRL to be safe. These images are a great inspiration. I myself would like to follow this paint scheme. In CRL the kidney doesn't have paint. I like the hourglass look which the front does have. I like the scuffed look. Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  11. That's a pretty good looking homemade Starkiller. Glad to see you aiming for Centurion requirement. As for passing, that's above my pay grade. Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  12. You seem to be lacking the inside's for drop boxes or you have them stacked and we can't see. Congratulations and Good Luck!
  13. I'm building a TKC now and will be making my belt this weekend. I'll post a picture of what I come up with. I need to post a thread on my saber that just came in also. Stand by....
  14. I'm all for more detailed info in CRL. It would help avoid many rookie mistakes, avoid answering repetitive questions and have info in one place. Some seem to not want to actually dig through posts and do real research. And saying it's visual doesn't work well when some model photos are ancient. I'm building a TKC right now and a few things from the photos in the reference photo thread don't match CRL or model. Like don't just say Black paint. Say semi Gloss black paint.
  15. I mount mine on back of hand from where wrist bends and front overhangs knuckles a little. Same size handguard and different size hands will get different looks. But overhang is ok.
  16. Sure. Love a cheese steak! I use to go down to Lancaster and I'd look foward to going to a place called Capt. Gus'. Best Sandwich I ever had. Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  17. Question #1 not sure Question #2 His name is Walt. But they quickly reply on their Facebook page. Also ATA is an option for replacement parts. Both Vendors info can be found in the Getting Started section in the vetted armor maker thread. Question#3 I'll just say, don't be a Rebel Dottie[emoji12][emoji3] Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  18. Try Walt's Trooper Factory for replacement. Be sure and tell him Large Marge sent you![emoji39] Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  19. Congratulations on your first of many to come!
  20. You really need to bring your thighs up. From the picture your thigh ammo pack looks like it is mounted wrong. Now this is only one picture but it appears you trimmed it short. It looks like it needed to wrap in more. That would need to be addressed first. But it would definitely help lifting thighs.
  21. Have you ever had deja vu? I feel like I've been here before Congratulations! You're 0.0125% of Advanced Division!
  22. There is no real measurements for length. Different makers and different widths of coverstrips would change it. Some people line up center box to coverstrip( me too) and some place it offset making wings(where pen is) even on both sides. Your call. A tip for curved edge: use pipe for TD to mark radius. And make sure rivet is in formed edge at bottom of thigh. Not above the ridge. I like to say when in doubt check out some Centurion photo's if you don't get an answer quick.
  23. Congratulations Tony! Looking good!
  24. It is so funny about these shins. From Walt standing in his shop I was told when I picked up my kit. Long piece is outside. I've joked with him about all the back and forth about it. I recommended they should label them in the future. But they are so busy it might not always get done. Part of the fun in becoming a TK!
