  1. For what it's worth, I have heard about troopers having luck buying replacement parts from DN for their Anovos kits, so you should be good there, also.
  2. Some familiar looking TKs here ... [emoji1787]
  3. Exactly this! Have fun assembling it and wearing it - you got a stormtrooper!
  4. Technically not Legion merch, more of "personal" merch from Albin, so really no need to follow all these rules.
  5. Looks like he's back. Check it out. Might be worth reaching out to the email address / Instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CW6EUWfvZZf/
  6. Hahahah there's not a lot of us out there, compared to the Stunts!
  7. There is generally no difference in the construction other than the details you're referring to (paint, screws, teeth cutouts, etc)
  8. Have you tried pinging him on the forum? https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/45623-AP-STORMTROOPER-ARMOR/HELMET--KITS!
  9. Are you actually building the Mudtrooper? https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TX_-_Mudtrooper If so, (and even if your focus is the Army Trooper) you should check out the SpecOps forum, home of both the Mudtrooper and Imperial Army Trooper. The folks there will be able to provide you with more info and accurate vendor recommendations. https://forum.specops501st.com/ FISD (where you are at) is the home of the clean Stormtroopers! There are many other "detachments" that are home to the different costumes.
  10. This is a bit pricey but my goodness I have set many snaps with this baby https://trooperbay.com/press-n-snap-tool-ligne-24-snaps
  11. Awesome to see another trooper wanting to build for Centurion right off the gate! Not a deployment officer by any means (deployment officers = people who evaluate your build for EIB/Centurion), some answers to get you started. I've only seen the hard plastic ones since they're the same as Snowtrooper hand plates. Now I REALLY want to Google it! But here's a nice picture of an "S" neck from one of the ESB Centurion builds - https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/48157-tk-29413-requesting-esb-centurion-status-afp-449/ (scroll down to "S-trim"). It's just the rubber thingy that runs along the opening of the helmet/ Err ... mine was 1/8th of an inch, it's pretty thin. Might need someone else to jump in here. I think this is tucked in. Please check the recent Centurion apps. This is more of a dressing issue usually. Not sure what this means ... As long as it's not visible you should be able to do whatever you want. Some folks use velcro to hold their shins to the boots, though once you get dressed this tend not to be an issue. (gravity) Should check w/ your local GML (people who approve your basic costume). This isn't specified in the CRL, so maybe one of the DOs can help out. Also, I am #TeamNoMesh - I find wearing the black balaclava underneath hides the face anyway. Can you link a photo of the hovi tips for folks to see? No need to worry about this line - AM is one of the armor makers ... and since you are asking about RS, likely not something you need to worry about.
  12. This thread from earlier this year was super enlightening for me - I too focus on the OT troopers mainly, so the discussion / analysis here was fascinating https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/48617-Rogue-One-TK-vs-OT-TK-Comparison#entry678454
  13. Welcome, Robert! As others have said these forums are the best place to get started. If you are on Facebook, we have a group for those looking to connect in Texas - when we can gather safely again I'm sure we'll have some in person armor building parties so you can see the armor in person. https://www.facebook.com/groups/296336407050926/?ref=share Feel free to PM me with any questions! I'm close by in Allen. We have a very active group here in North Texas. Good luck w the build!
  14. Can always ping RS and they'll let you know!
  15. Go for whatever you like best! There is no difference when it comes to trooping. The differences between ANH and ESB are super subtle, esp for the regular person looking in, so sometimes in a sea of TKs I would switch into my ESB so I can pick out myself in photos . I get excited when I see ESBs when trooping. Hm, I suppose for official LFL castings there might be specific requirements, but for most garrisons that's few and far in between, I wouldn't worry about that.
  16. For what it's worth, I've worked with Marc @ Ople before but for my TR. Lens came out great, and he was awesome to communicate with.
  17. This is a good place to check out the other build threads and start your own. Depending on which version of the TK you are building, there are sections for each - https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/31-costuming-and-builds-501st-approved/
  18. Hi Cameron Let me know how I can help!
  19. Let's do it, folks! We are all here to help!
  20. Any updates on this? Inquiring minds would love to know!
  21. 2020-01-26: LSWO presents More than Star Wars: The Music of John Williams The local symphony had a performance where they played music by John Williams. This was pretty fun. We hung out at the lobby while people lined up to check out the concert. Lots of kids getting bussed in! 2020-02-01: Pop Culture Art Con Second year hanging out with Mr. Christopher Clark! Another great troop. One of my favorite recurring troops - engaged audience, awesome host. 2020-02-10: Scottish Rite Amputee Ski trip send off Had a great time supporting this event. Scottish Rite does an event each year with American Airlines where they sent these teen amputees off to a ski trip. A few of us showed up bright and early at the airport to get our armor through TSA (what a major pain in the butt). It was all worth it though, in the end! Lots of happy faces and we even made the local news!
