  1. Congratulations! Now the fun begins. You can use the strapping method for regular TK's. There's nothing really special about Legacy armor in terms of how to strap it.
  2. Hi Irina, You're doing a wonderful job on the armor build so far! Are you referring to the space between the ab and kidney plates when viewed from behind? ------ I wouldn't worry too much about that. The ab plate has a different curve to it than the kidney plate so some gap will be there. But if it really bothers you, you could use white velcro to close that area up. Another alternative is to trim some of the edge off of the kidney plate, but you will still have some gap remaining due to the differences in the curve. --------- My recommendation would be to leave it as is or use velcro. Good luck with your build!
  3. Don't over-hydrate the morning/day of the event. Having to urinate when you're all geared up sucks.
  4. Mike, you armor looks awesome! I'm converting my Anovos to a Shocktrooper and I've been following your thread. What color/type of red paint did you use? It would be great if we could standardize on a type/color so everyone looks the same.
  5. Taylor, that looks awesome!
  6. Jeff, your pack looks great! And I'm honored to have been an inspiration!
  7. Your armor is looking good! You'll generaly have more mobility on your arms. The legs will depend on how they are trimmed and there are area to trim it to help improve mobility.
  8. Looking good so far, Austin. Will be following your build. Let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help. Here's one of many lists of tools: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28527-tk-build-tool-kit-list/
  9. Another Legacy! Your gloves and neck seal will be fine. TK boots wouldn't be acceptable. Good luck with your build!
  10. I bought a doopy do when I first got in, built it and loved how it came out. Brought it to my first troop (a Boy Scout dinner) and was suggested I don't hand it to anyone cause if they drop it, it'll shatter. Bought a Hyperfirm the next day and haven't looked back.
  11. Yes, 10mm from the side for Centurion. Humbrel or Testors, doesn't really matter.
  12. What is the distance (in mm) of the holes from the top and sides?
  13. You could use apoxie sculpt but you would need to repaint your thighs.
  14. I would recommend using elastic instead of webbing. It allows for a greater degree of movement. After a few times of wearing, you will be making further adjustments and updates, so don't think you need to get it the first time.
  15. Getting there! looking forward to seeing it progress more. Let me know if you have any questions.
  16. You can remove some of the return edge from the back of you knee. Can you post a photo of you wearing your thighs? it would be easier to help that way.
  17. Quartermaster makes an excellent HWT pack. He's here on on MEPD.
  18. Before cutting any further, position the faceplate on the bucket and see how it looks. Hold it in place with some tap. Take the ears and position where they will go to get a good idea. You will be doing a lot of sizing, cutting, sizing, cutting until it sits just right. it's easier to cut off little pieces than trying to put some back on
  19. I have some neck trim. Shoot me your address.
  20. I'm listed as having a pending affiliation with FISD. Can someone fix this for me please Detachment Affiliation(s): First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment (Pending) Thank you! Greg
  21. Looks really nice! You may want to heat bend the back of the shoulder tabs down a bit so they don't get snagged on anything.
  22. If someone who paid $350 for their armor doesn't want it, let me know, I might buy it from you. I have a few friends who want to get into the Legion.
